It was meant to be an easy mission, really it was, so how the entire team was now sat in a cell Steve didn't know. Looking around the small space they had been forced into, Steve quickly came to the conclusion that there was no way out, instead he began to asses the current state of his teammates. Somehow none of them had been seriously injured, Natasha and Clint sat on the other side of the cell, talking quietly in Russian, Sam was nursing a cut arm a little way from them. Bruce was glancing around nervously and, finally, Tony was sat in the corner of the cell with blood dripping down his face from a cut on his forehead. Signing Steve turned to look down the corridor that lead away from them, unable to see where it lead through the dark. "Well," Steve said, "We'll just have to wait for shield to come with back up."
"Really," Tony said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, " it's not like we're trapped in a cage with no way out. Oh, wait we are!"
"You know what Stark.."Steve began to say before being cut of by Natasha, "Boys, while this may be very entertaining, there's some one coming." Both men fell silent at this, straining their ears for any sound. Sure enough, the sound of footsteps echoed of the concrete walls, steadily getting louder with each step. Soon the dark shape of a man stood before the group of superheroes, he cast a quick glance over the group before smirking. "Well, Well, Well, if it isn't the famous avengers all locked up." He said laughing slightly at the end. " What do you want?" Steve asked. " Oh, What we want is quite simple," the man said, " we want the avengers to stop operating and we want the iron man technology."
"Never going to happen." Tony interjected.
" We thought you might say that," the man replied his smirk become more sinister, " so we brought a bargaining chip." Turning towards the corridor, he called out some words in another language before turning back to them. "Just something for you to consider." He said before opening the cell door, and a second man who had appeared beside the first, shoved a body though the opening before locking the door once again and left. Steve continued to stare after the men for a few seconds before turning back to look at the new arrival. The person who had been pushed into the cell was a boy who couldn't have been older than 14, had had chocolate coloured curls and soft brown eyes, he seemed oddly familiar to Steve but he couldn't place why. The boys scanned the room with fear filled eyes, passing over each of the avengers before they settled on Tony. As soon as he saw the man the tension seem to disappear from his body, shoulders sagging in relief. this action confused Steve, why would this boy be relieved to see Tony, this question and others similar to it ran though his mind. "DAD!" the kid cried out, that had everyone attention. Tony, who hadn't been paying attention, whipped his head around so fast that Steve was surprised that he didn't break his neck. "Peter?" Tony said before crossing the gap between him and the boy and pulling him into a tight hug, the boy- Peter- in return, clung to Tony like a life line. "What the hell are you doing here?" Tony questioned, pulling back a bit but still maintaining a grasp on peters arms, "I don't know," Peter responded, "I was just coming out of school when some one grabbed from behind and put a bag over my head." Steve watched the exchange between the two with curiosity, while Peter had been talking Tony had been scanning the boy for any hint of injury, Stark had never show that amount of affection. Once satisfied that the boy was unharmed, he pulled Peter into a hug similar to the first, pressing a kiss to the boys curls. The moment was interrupted by a deliberate cough from Sam, Tony turned to face the rest of the team while keeping one arm around Peters shoulder, tucking the boy into his side. "Um,WHAT!" Sam exclaimed, gesturing towards Tony and Peter, "Oh, right," Tony said "team this is Peter, my son." peter gave the team a small, shy wave as a form of greeting. "Your what now?!" Clint cried, looking as confused as Steve felt. "My son Barton, you know a child who is a boy." Tony replied with his usual level of sarcasm. "I know what a son is," Clint replied, "just never knew you had one."

"yeah well, I don't want him to have to deal with the press just yet." Tony responded. Steve interjected at that point, "Still, you should have told us about him."

"I will answer any questions about him later, now we focus on escaping." Tony explained. Steve signed and rolled his eyes at Tony and besides this wasn't the craziest thing Stark had done.
