The rest of the ride consisted of me falling in and out of naps while listening to music. It took a while, as in longer than an hour kind of while, to get there but finally I felt the bus slowing down and finally come to a complete stop. When the bus stopped, I opened my eyes and did a brief scan of the area through the window.
"What the fuck." I mouthed the words silently to myself in confusion as my mouth fell open in shock.
It really was the middle of nowhere. It was like a bush land with very few trees, almost no greenery,, just a lot of building spread apart and an incredibly tall fence that went all the way around all the buildings.
"Omg." I mumble as I continue to scan the place in disbelief.
I turn to get up and see Wilkey asleep in the most uncomfortable position I had ever seen. I laugh a little before attempting to wake him up.
"Hey..." I tap on his face.
"Hmm... what?" He blinks rapidly in confusion.
"Hey... get up, we're here." I say, disappointed.
Ms Small makes her way down the bus waking the other students up and telling them of our arrival, reminding them all not to forget any of their bags and belongings. When I finally got out of the bus it took a while for my eyes to adjust to the brightness of the sun before I could thoroughly scan the area again from the outside. The second bus arrived shortly after and when the students got out of the bus, their reaction was no different from ours. Everyone was shocked. I think it's because it's exactly what you'd picture Area 52 to be like if it existed. It was big that's for sure.
When all the students were out of the bus Mr Petrie called everyone to gather so he could do a final group roll call.
"Group 1, Justin... Justin Osborn?" He shouts to the year level.
"I'm here!" He replies from the far back.
I don't know why he bought the biggest bag out of everyone in the whole year level. I'm pretty sure he bought his whole life in that bag.
Once everyone was accounted for, group 1 and 2 followed Mr Petrie to the front gates. The front gates were huge and at the very top of it there was a sign that read 'GATE ONE' in all caps. Mr Petrie knocked on the door and they opened almost instantly, revealing this big bulky, bald guy in all black, along with what looked like two bodyguards on his right and left, one male and one female. He greeted Mr Petrie and the other teachers before addressing the students.
"Hello students, my name is Captain Dre Harington, to my left is Lieutenant Bailey and to my right, lieutenant May." He introduces himself and the guards.
"The other schools are already here, so follow me to the orientation room."
We make our way through gate one and shortly after we stop in front of a small building, that seemed to be in the center of the facility. The other schools looks to have the same number of students as us, but I think we were the only public-school there. St. Lucious all boy school and Summerville House, an all girl school were the other schools inside the building. St. Lucious is literally filled with pretty boys and Summerville House was a catholic all girls, private school with crazy high-grade standards, so unless your parents were feeding you knowledge as a baby, you basically had no chance of getting in. the room was very spacious with stacked chairs put out for us to sit and a podium at the front.
