"Hello students, I'm Dr Madrid and I am a science engineer here in section 2. I test space suits and their efficiency to see if any adjustments or improvements can be made. Today we'll be putting you kids into those space suits, so you can get a feel of what's it's like."
Some of the boys from St. Lucious got a bit excited and some of the girls from Summerville High walked out the room. I looked at Wilkey and he seemed like he wanted to stay. We both turn to look at Justin and he is looking out the window completely zoned out. I go to see if he is okay but then I notice that he is staring at a building in section 3.
"Justin, what is it?" Wilkey asks as he analyse the building.
"A lot of guards for just one building, don't you think?" Justin replies, not paying any attention to us.
"I mean yeah, maybe section 3 is where all the expensive stuff is held." I reply. Trying to convince him.
"I'm not sure." Justin walks out of the room and Wilkey follows.
I don't want to, but I go after them before they do anything stupid.
"You guys where are you going?" I run after them. "Stop...you guys." I try to yell as quietly as I can.
They finally stop to hide behind two bins and continue to observe the building in section 3.
"What are you guys doing? We look so sketch right now." I try to convince them to go back.
"Look over there. 'L'. Must be the building letter." Justin tells Wilkey completely ignoring me.
I stay silent in defeat and observe the building for myself. I look over to the side of the building and there's a basement door opening on the side of the building.
"Shhhh, get down." I push both of them down. "Look over there." I give into their curiosity, nodding towards the scientist coming out of the basement door on the side of the building.
"A basement? I knew this place was full of secrets, but this is gold." Justin sounds too excited for his own good.
We observe a little more and see the scientist call the guards at the front of the building to help him. The guards respond and rush to the side of the building, three of the guards go inside and not long after they emerge carrying a large glass tube.
"What the hell is going on in there and what's with the fish tank." Wilkey says absolutely confused.
"I'm going to go in." Justin whispers.
We silently watch as the guards carry the tube out of the basement and towards a building on the other side of section 3. When there are no guards in sight Justin rushes towards the basement door.
"No. Justin stop." I try to stop him.
"I have to find out what they are hiding." Justin ignores me.
"Ugh. Come on." Wilkey grabs my hand and rushes to catch up with Justin.
"Wilkey, this section is restricted. We're not supposed to be here" I tried to convince him to be on my side.
"Yeah, I know but someone has to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. Besides if something happens to him it will most likely come back to us." He defends and he is absolutely right. Fuck my life.
Wilkey and I reached to basement door shortly after Justin. He had already check to see if it was open and it was. Justin looked at both of us for confirmation before twisting the doorknob. My heart race with fear and anxiety from every crack of the door as Justin slowly open it. When the door was completely open, we figured we didn't have much time to find whatever it is that Justin was looking for.
Looking in through the window of the door it was pitch black with flashes of green light in some glass tank, but we couldn't make out what was inside. I then start looking for a light switch and turn on the lights on. Once our eyes had adjusted, we were all fixated on the three big cylinders like fish tanks.
"Maybe they do animal testing, like how they sent monkeys to the moon." Hundreds of theories flood my mind, but I try to remain rational.
"In a tube?" Wilkey questions me knowing that there was only one explanation for those tubes.
"I don't know. What else can it be, and please don't say anything stupid like human testing or something" I try to remain clam.
"That's exactly what's going on Wolf."
"Okay, explain to me why then. Why would they be testing humans huh its NASA?" Still trying to remain rational.
"I don't know. For all we know, they're probably aliens." He looks around.
"Holy shit, guys come look at this." Holding a folder Justin calls us over.
"You guys remember those schools that got shut down like 3 years ago because they lost like all of their senior students in freak accidents?"
"Yeah I knew someone from one of those school, apparently their bus crashed or something I think." Wilkey replies.
"Yeah well, those schools came here, we aren't the first group of kids to be 'invited'." Justin shows us the documents of each of the students. "Dude, Parramatta State High, St. Mary and Nashville High, they were all invited and then all of a sudden Parramatta students die from a bus crash same with the rest, St Mary's bus goes missing and Nashvilles bus blows up."
I hate to admit it, but Justin is actually on to something, honestly, I don't know what to think but if the math adds up then something defiantly illegal and weird is happening here and I defiantly don't want to be a part of it.
"I'm going to get Ms Small; you guys clean up then get the hell out of here. I'll meet you back at Mr Madrid's class. Make sure you take some pictures of this lab and those documents. And don't get caught, okay?" I say as clearly as I can before rushing out of the room and the others just nod and begin to take pictures while cleaning up.
