"What do you mean 'get caught"? Get caught doing what? What did you guys do?" Amy as noisy as ever.
"We found documents of those schools 3 years ago, they all came to the same field trip." Justin explains to her.
"Justin what are you doing?" I try to stop him from saying any more.
"What? No, that's a lie, the captain said we are the first to be invited." Tianna jumps in.
"Exactly, so why do they have documents that say otherwise, we found a secret lab in one of the rooms in section 3 and..." Wilkey continues to explain.
"Wilkey!" I stop him before he says anything else.
"Alright listen up kids, I need all of you to follow me to gate 1, we must continue with the evacuation. Teachers, please make sure all the students are accounted for and no one is missing. Follow me." The captain ushers all the students out of the orientation room.
No one asked any more questions, but I think it's because they were trying to answer some of those question for themselves, they all seemed to be lost in thoughts and contradictions and the more they thought about it the more it didn't make any sense. Once we were all outside gate 1 the alarm stopped, and all the teacher started another head count of their students.
"Evans!? Evans!?" I hear someone calling.
A boy from St Lucious taps Wilkey and gives him one of those boy hugs.
"Evans, you good bro?" he asks.
"Samir, yeah man I'm good, you?" Wilkey returns the hug.
"Yeah, I saw your school so just wanted to make sure your crazy ass wasn't still in there."
"Forget that we gotta get out of here ASAP.''
"What are you talking about?" Samir's expression is pure confused and concern.
All of a sudden, I see Tianna, Candice and Amy listening in on their conversation. I mean me and Justin were already there, so we were basically already a part of It.
"Dude this place is hella sketch, schools that come here disappear, if you know what I mean, and all that crap about this place being a NASA lab, facility or whatever, it's all bullshit." I don't know why but this time I don't stop Wilkey from saying what we discovered.
"And we have proof." Justin jumps in their conversation.
"Who are you?" Samir Ask Justin.
"Oh, this is Justin."
"Okay nerd. Show us the proof." Tianna decides to jump into the conversation too.
Justin brings out his phone and shows them pictures of the documents of the previous school that disappeared. Tianna, Candice, Amy, Samir, Wilkey and I all circle around Justin to look at the photos.
"St. Mary got shut down like 3 years ago." Amy is the first one to speak.
"Dude Ricky went to Paramatta remember." Wilkey says directly to Samir.
"Yeah, apparently there school bus went missing on their way back from a school field trip." Samir replies.
"St. Mary got shut down because of a tragedy, apparently their school field trip bus rolled off the side of a mountain and everyone died." Justin finishes.
"Okay this can't be real." Candice finally speaks up.
"Well, I'm not sticking around to find out." This just got too real for me.
"Candice, go find Mr Petrie, tell him that we all want to go home and that we don't want to be here anymore." Tianna orders Candice and with a nod of her head she hurries off and disappears into the crowd.
After a while, Captain returns with an announcement.
"I need everyone to calm down and listen up. We have confirmation that there was a chemical leak in one of the labs in section 3. So, I'm afraid, we are going to have to end this field trip a little early. We have contacted your busses and they are all reroute to come pick you up in the next hour. In the meantime, why don't you interact with each other out here? We will call you in one by one to return your vest so stay close." Captain announces.
"Wilkey my spidey sense, my woman's intuition, my gut, everything is telling me to get the f out of here." I pull Wilkey to the side.
"Don't worry okay. Look as soon as we get rid of these vests, we're outta here okay." I don't know why but his words calm me.
One by one students go inside to hand in their vest to the lieutenants. When it was our schools turn, I felt a little uneasy, but I held it down. I went in, gave my vest and almost ran out of that facility. Once everyone's vest is returned the captain comes out with another announcement.
"Listen up. Firstly, I want to thank everyone for your cooperation and for your patience, I would also like to apologize for the circumstances that we have found ourselves in. After a quick investigation, our scientist found that the leakage which had caused the alarm and evacuation was a highly toxic chemical that can be lethal if it come in close contact. Since no one was in section 3 there should be no need to worry." Wilkey Justin and I look at each other with the same anxious expression.
"However, as protocol, we must have all of you take a blood test just to make sure before you are on your way. Teachers if you could come in first." Captain announces and all the teachers start heading off.
"Okay when the guards and teachers all go inside, we start looking for a signal." Justin, Wilkey and I huddle up.
"We can get Tianna to call her dad." I suggest.
"Amy has this solar powered phone; we could use it." Justin adds
"Yeah okay, Sammy's coming too, he's like family, I can't leave him." With that Wilkey leaves to tell Sammy the plan, Justin goes to Amy and I go to Tianna.
Once all the teachers had gone inside the facility, Wilkey, Sammy, Amy, Tianna, Candice, Justin and I all meet at the back of the crowd to discuss the plan.
