I know I said I intended to update during Ramadan, but... I have been super super busy with exams and a flu and fasting and trying to make time to pray!
For all my muslim readers, I hope you are all doing well and fasting is going good for you. For all my non-muslim readers, I also hope you guys are doing great and everything is well for you all.
Wish me luck for my next 3 exams, I'll be done by the end of the week HURRAYYYY but until then, I need to keep my head down lolololllll.
Hopefully I can upload lots and lots of chapters starting from this weekend, I am aware that the story (as is this chapter) has not been very eventful so far, so I am really sorry :( but I do have a storyline somewhat planned and I would love it and appreciate it so much if you lovely readers could give me some ideas, or let me know what you're hoping to hear from the story. You never know, your idea might be the next big plot twist!! Who knows, you might even get a shoutout from me in the following chapter!

It was the next day, and I was downstairs with my family, telling them all about the events of the night before. Last night had been a huge success, the event was spectacular, the food was delicious, everyone loved the design and the taste of the cake, and Dawood's friend Aadam had won an award for the development of his new business in property development.
"Well thank goodness Dawood was there, I would have cried if I was in your position" said Faatiha. I was telling my siblings about the creepy guy who interrogated me yesterday, I didn't want to go into it with my parents – they wouldn't have liked it.
"It's a damn good job he was, if I was there and saw that, I would have had to punch him smack bang in the middle of his stupid little face! Who does he think he is?!"
I laughed at my brother's over protective nature and rolled my eyes at him.
"Hahaaa, its done now anyway, just got me angry in the heat of the moment. But I am so so SO glad I took the opportunity. It was amazing! And on top of that, just in the last few hours, I have tons of emails come in with collaboration requests, business contracts and other events!"
"That's great! I wish I was in your position, instead I'm stuck as a teacher who has to deal with hormonal teenagers all day" moaned Zahra, who stayed over the night before. We all laughed, Zahra had always dreamed of being a teacher, but now that she was in the real position, she wanted a career change desperately.
"Knock-knock" it was baba, asking for permission to come in.
"Come on in Baba" I shouted.
"I see you guys are having a good old catch up, I don't think anyone would actually believe that you guys practically all live under the same roof" he laughed. "May Allah always keep your relationship this way"
"Aameen" we chorused.
"Anyways, I've just come to let you know that Abdur- Rahmaan and Hajra Aunty are coming for dinner tonight. We're finalising the preparations for the wedding, so you guys better be ready in the next hour or so. You should also go down and help your mother too."
"No worries baba, we'll be down soon." I yawned, stretching my arms in the air.
"Sumaiya! Oh my Allah, your husband is going to arrive in around an hours time and look at you! Get something nice on, we're going to get ready too. Yahya, out! Let this silly girl get herself ready" Zahra ranted, while Faatiha laughed beside me.
I know this is a super short chapter, but bear with... I do have more coming for you x
