The Maze Runner imagines (previously Newt Imagine #1)

Ben, "Maybe"

A/N: Most recent update 12/11/15! Quite a bit longer and more detail added, no plot change but give it a read over! 

You were walking around the homestead with Jeff, taking a break from working as a med jack. It was in the evening and the doors were going to close soon. It had been a busy day, you were both tired and luckily things had slowed down. You were debriefing as you noticed the signs meaning there was 5 minutes until the doors closed.  "I hope they come back alright" you mumble about the runners. Jeff nodded, ever since Newt had hurt his leg in the maze you had been worried about one of them getting hurt. Newt was your best friend, you were close with all the runners, Ben especially. "I'm sure they will be fine, look, here comes Minho and Ben." Jeff says smiling, he knows you like Ben. You smiled as you saw them jog out of the maze and head to the map room, Ben giving you a quick wink first. He almost stopped but Minho pushed him on. It was no secret that he liked you, all the other boys were constantly reminded of it. Ben was all for PDA, between winks and hugs that were almost awkward they were so long. You didn't mind it though, the long hugs were only awkward with everyone watching. "What's happening between you two?" Jeff asked giving you a look, you laughed.  "I don't know." You admitted smiling and shake your head embarrassed. 

A couple hours later

You and Ben were sitting side by side at the bonfire. He had been flirting pretty hard with you and you weren't stopping him. "I think we need to talk" Ben said elbowing you gently.The way the fire hit his face he looked like what you imagined an angel to be. His blond hair and winning smile was almost to much. You giggled "About what?" He turned slightly, facing you. Your head had been on his shoulder, "About us." He said gently tracing patterns on your hand, you had goose bumps it felt so nice. You thought about it, could you be in a relationship with Ben? You knew it would be hard, nothing in this place was easy but being with him made you feel special. You came to your decision quickly. "I think we would be good." You say bravely, knowing that he won't argue much. Ben's face lights up and he nods eagerly, "Oh, I was so worried you would say something else." He says leaning in for a kiss, you met him in the middle. He smiled against your lips "finally" he said as all the boys cheered in the background.
