Newt, "Darling"

You took another deep breath and closed your eye's trying to fall asleep. It felt like sleep would never come. You sighed and stood up.aube a walk would help? You started walking and heard foot steps behind you. "Where are you going, love?" You could tell by the accent it was Newt that had asked. You turned around "I couldn't sleep, what are you doing?" You asked back. He smiled and shrugged "couldn't sleep". He said. You shook your head and continued walking.

Things between you and Newt had gotten really wierd lately. Everyone had been making fun of him for liking you, while it was common knowledge you were into Minho. Anyways, he had admitted to liking you very publicly and Minho still acted like you weren't even there.

"Would you like to come?" You asked. He nodded and jogged to catch up. "How's your leg?" You asked. Newt had a limp and you had no idea why, but no one ever talked about it. "Uh good, I guess." He said blushing a little. Blushing??? You had never seen Newt do that before. You kept walking towards the door. "Why did you do it?" You asked him. He gave you a look "why did I do what?" He asked. "Tell everyone you like me." You said. Newt thought about it and shrugged again "Seemed like a good idea at the time."  He said rubbing the back of his neck. "Why?" He asked. You just shrugged, you liked Newt but it would be so typical if you got together with him now.

Newt and you continued your walk talking about anything and everything. From how you felt about being the only girl in the glade to how Newt felt being the only sane one in the glade. You both eventually found yourselves back at the homestead. "I'm still not tired." You said. Newt nodded "come with me then." He said pulling you along. He pulled you over to his hammock and motioned for you to cuddle next to him which you did. "Suddenly I think I'm sleepy." You said into Newt chest. He laughed and nodded his head. "Goodnight darling" he said. You mumbled out a goodnight and felt your self drift off. Maybe all you needed to fall asleep was Newt.
