MEA
-Flashback: 4 years ago-
INCOMING CALL FROM:
Raven ❤️I was about to close my eyes when the phone started ringing.
"Hello" I answered with an attitude.
"I know you saw my message," Raven said on the other line.
She's still going on and on about a party she wanted to attend. She really wanted us to celebrate us graduating from high school.
"I really don't want to go Rae."
"Oh really? Well, will you want to go if I told you Dominique was going to be there." I instantly started blushing.
Raven and I met during middle school. It was our seventh-grade year during lunchtime. I was sitting alone because I really didn't fuck with anyone at that school.
She came over, sat down and introduced herself. Since then we have been close. I can't imagine my life without her.
"Go ahead and start getting ready Mea because I will be pulling up in two hours," she then hung up the phone.
- Two hours later -
Raven pulled up and sis was dressed to impress. We were looking good as always.
The party at Dreams was lit it seems like everyone was having a good time. "Ohhhh look at Princeton fine ass and girl that looks like Dominique right next to him."
I listened to Raven go on and on about Princeton. Princeton is Dominique's best friend. You see one the other is close by.
"Real ass bitch, give a fuck 'bout a nigga..." City girls song "Act Up" played on the club's speakers. I quickly grabbed Raven's hand and headed to the dance floor. We were having the time of our lives. Three songs later I left the dance floor because I needed to freshen up in the restroom.
"I'm sorry!" Coming out of the restroom I accidentally bumped into someone. I looked up and almost fainted. Dominique. He smiled and moved out of the way to let me walk by. I quickly rushed back into the party to find Raven.
"Girl you got it bad! You've been crushing on him since middle school Mea." I laughed because she was right. Ever since I saw Dominique I couldn't get him off my mind. Even though he was older that didn't stop me from wanting him.
I was shy back then so my crush on him was kept between Raven and I. But, every time I saw him it didn't stop the aching between my legs.
"Wassup ladies" We heard a deep voice behind us.
"Hey, Prince." I looked over at Raven and she had the biggest grin on her face. I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head.
Raven has had a crush on Princeton since middle school also. The difference with our situations is that we know Princeton is feeling her too. Dom, on the other hand, hasn't shown any interest in me.
I turned away so they could have their privacy. I was watching everyone on the dance floor when I heard my name. I looked behind me and there was Dominique. Giving him the once over, when I returned to his face he was staring at me smiling. I quickly turned my head to focus on something else.
"Why are you acting shy? I already caught you checking me out." He smiled.
"You give me butterflies..." I looked into his eyes.
"Come on let's go talk." A huge grin showed on his face and I saw a twinkle in his eyes. He grabbed my hand and we went to find a spot where we could talk.
We talked for a while and then exchanged numbers. Afterward, Dom and Princeton then walked us to Raven's car. We said our goodbyes and after that night the rest was history.
Princeton and Raven dated for a year but decided being friends was best. Dom and I went on multiple dates and made it official before I left for college. I was 18 and he was 21.
The reminiscing stopped when I got in front of her house. I got out of the car and banged on the front door.
"Sandra, it's me open the door." It took a while but I heard the door slowly opening.
"Girl, you must be out of your damn mind banging on my door this time of night like your the police. What do you want?" She gave me the once over "He kicked you out didn't he?"
"No, he did...." The door slammed in my face.
"I don't feel like this shit tonight Mea. Try again in a few hours." She yelled through the door.
I felt like crying but instead, I held it in and headed over to Raven's house.
It was extremely late at night but I had nowhere to go and needed a shoulder to cry on.
"I knew I should have gone there in the first place," I mumbled to myself while backing out of the driveway.
