The Ball

Diana Pov 

I sit on my chair looking at my reflection, I sigh in annoyance, I don't need a suitor I'm taking excellent care of the castle on my own just fine, someone knocks on my door, " come in" I say. The door opens and Frank walks in, " Princess Diana I'm sorry to intrude but I sent out royal invitations to the ball tonight concerning about suitors, I even invited the town. They will be here at 8 exactly until then your maids will help you with your wardrobe, that is all" Frank says with a bow at the end. I nod, he leaves shutting the door allowing silence to clear the room once again, I get up and head to my studies for further meetings concerning the problems of the town and making allies with our kingdoms. 

Akko pov

I look below me watching the children running around trying to search for me, I laugh at that and lean back closing my eyes enjoying the silence. Crack, I open my eyes with panic, I brace for impact landing on the ground with an " ugh" I say, I open my eyes to see the children surrounding me with concern or amusement. One starts crying making the others as well, I sit up" hey I'm okay, I'm okay I'm moving aren't I" I say doing a funny face, they start laughing and running around me. I get up and yawn, my stomach grumbles making the kids laugh,( y/n) comes running towards me with something in their hand.  ( y/n) trips and falls sliding across the ground, laughter erupts from behind, I walk over to them laughing as well as the others. 

 ( y/n) groans and gets up, " ha so funny you're killing me, anyway I found a flyer pinned to the town wall, you won't believe It," ( y/n) says. I grab the paper, Urgent news from the kingdom of Super Nova, your princess is holding a ball at 8 exactly for suitors and you are welcome to come. I grip the paper and pout, I thought I had more time to watch her and only her alone ruling her country. Seems shes looking for a partner, this doesn't seem like Princess Diana at all, in my years of watching her grow she has never had a man next to her, I'm envious of the men who are waiting to take her hand. I crumple the piece of paper and shove it in my pocket, " Akko you're not giving up are you" ( y/n) asks worried, I sigh and pat them on the shoulder, " seems I most" I say back. 

I walk past them and towards the orphanage, I smile at the kids and head to my room, Princess Diana was the one who saved my town from the war, though my parents died before I could see them. I was sent here as well as the other kids with no home, I remember what she said to me, " your not alone, just hold your head high and keep going" she said, that always made me feel better. But hearing It now makes me frown, " will you stop pouting, It's really annoying," someone says, I look to my left to see Amanda agitated, "It's not like It was ever gonna happen," she says. I jump down and walk past her, heading towards woods behind the orphanage, you think I don't know that of course, I knew that since I realized I had feelings for the Princess let alone ever meeting her again. I stop when I see a cottage up ahead, giving me uneasy vibes I walk up to It, I knock on the door hearing something inside making a lot of racket. 

The door opens walking out is a witch with purple hair, she looks at me and grins, " I never thought I would ever have company but you will have to do" she says with a sinister smile. I shiver and walk-in, " I take it you want something," she says, I gaze at her cauldron, bottles of liquid and mirror, " I guess," I say. She laughs and looks at me, " I know that you're devastated that the princess is planning on getting a suitor, I could help you If you do something for me" she says. I nod furiously, " good I want you to get me these things on this list, there in the forest," she says handing me a piece of paper, I grab it and go. I walk deeper in the forest looking for three types of mushrooms, I groan when I see more trees, " do you need help" someone says, I jump and look behind me.
