Akko pov
My eyes glance over her, so many questions running through my head but none compare to one, who is it that is making Diana smile like there's no tomorrow, I sigh putting my chin on my knees still not breaking eye contact. What am I doing, she's my friend, I think, I hope, she moves a bit looking in my direction eyes still closed groaning, I get up and walk towards her. Putting my hand on her forehead, her soft strands of blonde and green hair touching my fingers, I shiver a bit before moving it back, shaking my head I walk out of the tent. Smelling the air letting it set in, somone nudges me my shoulders with a cough, I look seeing Amanda smirking, " So did anything happened last night," she asks leaning on me. I roll my eyes moving a step back, " You mean when you all went against me, daring her to kiss me, are you kidding me, you know my feelings for her," I say furious. Her smirk drops and she looks at me with empathy, " so I'm taking it didn't go out great then," she says, I huff and stomp off to the dining hall ignoring the slight ache from my knee.

Why can't they just leave it alone, making things awkward for us is not what I want, I want to know personal things about and hangout, asking her to tutor me so I don't end up being kicked out. I stop when I see Hannah and Barbara walking towards me, I look behind me seeing no one, I turn back seeing them standing in front of me a slight glare, " I don't know what she see's in you, you're obnoxious along with childish, you hardly take anything seriously," Barbara says. Hannah nodding along with her, " Though you have something that makes everyone love to be around you," Hannah says a bit annoyed, they both sigh before dropping their glares, " Akko what are your intentions with Diana," she asks. I stand there confused and still slightly heated from earlier, " Look I just want to put our differences past us and be there for her to rely on, listening to her is something I never want to trade for," I say smiling. Barbara's eyes widen a bit, " so you like Diana, I'm honestly not surprised, though this is kinda great news, for us well good day," she says, the two walking past me. I quickly turn around, " What do mean by great news," I say, they stop and turn to me, " you're hopeless, oh well if you want answers you got to go ask her, she's waiting," she says before clasping hands with Hannah.
I watch them walk towards their tent giggling a bit, seems that almost everyone is hiding something, I blink a few times before heading back to my tent, " Diana, are you still sleeping," I say pushing the cover off her. I grow concern seeing her skin a paler along with her cheeks with a light tint pink, " Diana, are you okay," I say shaking her, she groans and turns her head to the right. This seems similar to what I read from Sucy's book but it could also be just a fever, I facepalm, seeing what my mother did I'm gonna have to u-nbotton her shirt but not all the way and put a rag on her forehead. Trembling I hastily undo three of her buttons counting to three, after the third, I pull away breathing heavily, just breath Akko, just breath, do it for her, I turn back around and move her hair away from her face. I run over to my bag pulling out a water bottle, rag, and plastic bowl that my mom packed me for saving food or emergencies, pouring the water in I dap the rag in it. I get up and speedwalk over to her holding the rag some of it getting on my shirt in the process, I place it gently on her forehead making her face me, staring at her features up close. Her face scrunches up and she frowns, I grab her hand using my thumb to rub her hand, what am I doing, I pull my hand back and sit on the floor beside her sleeping bag, sighing I close my eyes.

I groan swatting away someone, wait, Diana, I open my eyes and turn around seeing Diana sitting up looking much better, " Akko did you do this for me," she asks her voice a bit low, I nod blankly. Her face heats up a bit before giving me a smile, I look at the ground as if it would save me, " I'm grateful for that, thank you," she says softly, I nod again before turning back to her, " Diana is there something your not telling me," I say seriously. She gives me a confused look, " Hannah and Barbara told me something a few hours ago, I just wanna hear your side" I say, her eyes widen and she backs up a bit. Eyes full of terror, " Akko, I'm sorry I didn't mean for it to happen, I swear, it's just that you're so caring, determined and sweet, I've been pushing them away but since the incident, they just got passed me. I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship," she says sniffling, I watch her perplexed feeling empathy for what she did, " Diana don't be hasty about this but I have no idea what you just said but I'll be here to help," I say holding out my hand smiling. She gets up quickly tears falling down her face while covering her hand on her mouth before running out the tent, did I do something wrong, after a few minutes footsteps approach the tent nimbly.
Hannah looks at me fuming, " What did you do," she shouts, I raise my brow shrugging, " I asked what she was hiding and said you two told me something, she kinda freaked out, telling me something like I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship. I have no idea what she was saying so I told her that and that I would be there to help her with it, she just got more upset and ran out," I say sighing sadly. Hannah reaches her hands towards me enraged, I back up fearing for my life, " You are the most denseness idiot I have ever met, I could kill you right here but that wouldn't solve anything mostly make it worse," she says. Letting her hands fall to her sides, " I know you like her more than a friend, O'neil told us, I was a bit disturbed by it but ever since the incident, Diana has been asking us for advice to help her get close to you, shocked I supported her. But you decided to ruin it for being completely oblivious, she likes you, you goof, she confessed her feelings two minutes ago," she says gripping her hands.

I ran to the dining hall but she wasn't there the campfire, lake, bridge, Hannah and Barbara's tent but she wasn't there, I can't find her, now I'm lost in the woods and it's raining again, I'm so stupid. Slowly dragging myself to a tall tree I hear a whine, I stop looking around, I hear it again but coming from the tree, I didn't know trees could talk, interesting, I walk towards hearing it get louder but more feminine. Odd, I see a shoe covered with mud, growing a bit cautious I look behind the tree seeing Diana sobbing trying to wipe her tears that keeps going. I rush to her and she looks up spooked, seeing it's me she looks the other direction, I sit beside her, "Diana I didn't know what you meant by that but after Hannah explained to me I feel dreadful for not understanding," I say looking over at her. She flinches before wiping her eyes again, I fiddle with the grass still not looking away, " I feel the same way, I also have felt romantic feelings for you, at first I thought it was envy but now I know it's much greater than that," I say smiling to myself. Pulling myself together I grab her hand, pulling her towards me, embracing her as she lays on me, " Come on we better get back to the campsite before we worry the others, we leave soon," I say getting up still holding her hand. She follows me silently sneezing a bit, I grab her by waist picking her up, she gasps clinging on to me, grinning I follow the lights leading back to camp with her mumbling four words, I love you too.
