°Into My Life °
I'm Serenity Moore. A 15 year old attending the Bogan High School in Chicago. Atleast not anymore after this summer. I overheard my 'dad' telling my mom that he was gonna send me to military school and she was agreeing to it. Even a blind man could see that he was lying. I wasn't smart but i knew he was gonna use me to get extra money.
My dad works at the airstrip where he directs and sends off the plane and sometimes he work as a TSA. Meanwhile, my mom work as an accountant at First America Bank. They were in the middle class but didn't support me like they should. So i felt discouraged whenever i want to do something so they atleast feel proud of me once.
I have 3 sisters, Charity, Hope and Faith and a brother, Jasper. Charity is 19 and already in her second year of college, while Faith and Hope are 18 and at their first year, so they don't live with us. Even then, my parents still support them by paying their tuition and giving them allowance. Jasper was 17. He goes to my school and was at his last year. He don't really talk to me because of whatever reason and i didn't talk to him either.
None of my siblings like me and i was okay with that. It made me feel left out 100% of the time but i know i wasn't a nuisance to them.
At this current moment, 1:39 am to be exact, i was awake. I couldn't sleep even if i tried to because I felt violated and out of place. I don't know how to feel loved or be loved and I wanna know what it was like. I wanna know how it feel to look beautiful and confident, to receive from someone. I wanna know how it feels to be normal.
I looked around my room and sighed. I only thank God that I'm alive and well because my living situation wasn't okay. I had a bed near the window, dresser and that's it. I tried my best to decorate it but I'm still grateful. This treatment began when i met in an accident in 5th grade. I got punched in my head for being too smart, and look where it got me.
My parents were loving and treated me like they should before that, but ever since the accident, they thought i was broken. I mean i am, but I'm really trying. I would remember something now and forget later on but i try to make notes of it so i won't forget.
Anyways, usually when my parents doesn't provide dinner for me, i wait until it was late and everyone was sleeping, i sneak downstairs and bring up a few snacks. It was difficult however because i had to drop down the ladder it would make some noise most of the time.
I was currently downstairs, picking up a few snacks and while i was drinking some water, i heard a noise. I quickly turned around and saw Jasper looking at me. I was scared, terrified however.
"I just wanted something to eat. Please don't tell." i knew i wasn't gonna get an answer from him so i stood there.
He sat a plate on the counter and slide it over to me before putting his head phone over his ear and walking up the stairs.
"Th-thanks." i said although he wasn't gonna hear me.
I made my way upstairs and up to my room which was a hassle since my hands were full. But i found my way out. I pulled up the door then walk over to my bed. My mom made rice and curried lobster with vegetables. It was already heated so i ate while looking out the window and drinking a sunny d.
Jasper was about 6'1' and had a light complexion. He was very muscular and handsome. Sometimes i wonder why we never spoke because he was my brother. I really don't know what he sound like but i hope that could change soon.
The next day, i was awaken by my door making sounds. I got up and carefully opened it seeing my dad standing there in his work clothes.
"Come down here." he spoke and walk away.
