° They Don't Care °
Monday @ 9 am
"I'm gonna go out and get some food for us okay?" i told Nya.
"Okay." she nodded.
"Please don't leave this room. I'll be back by 1 pm."
"What happen if i do?"
"You're gonna be homeless again."
"Got it."
"There's some snacks on the table over there, and books are over there if you want to read. Don't be loud or else they're gonna find you. If you wanna pee, there's a little potty thing over there. Please be safe." i clasp my hand.
"I will." she stood to hug me.
"Lock the door when i leave okay? I'll knock 8 times so you know when I'm back." i told her and she nodded.
I left the attic and heard her locking the door just as i instructed her to. I was dressed in a jeans shorts, white t-shirt and white sneakers and i had a white cross body bag that had 300 dollars in it, my phone and the documents i knew i needed to open a bank account.
My parent's weren't home and i suspected that Caelyn told my mom that i was eating the whatever she bought. So this morning she made me watch her take all the snacks from the kitchen and put them in her room. She even slapped me for it and my dad stood there and watch. I expected it anyways.
"Where you going?" Jasper ask while playing with his video game. It was the second time he's talking to me. When he spoke, he seem to have an accent but i wasn't sure.
"I'm going to buy something to eat."
"Be safe." he told me and i nodded.
I left the house and went to the bus stop. I stood there and waiting and in the next 15 minutes, i got on the bus. It took me to where i wanted and i had to walk to the hotel.
I went up to Adam's room and knocked on the door, hearing a faint sound. When he open the door, he was wearing a jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt.
"Hey." he pulled me in a hug and i hugged him back, kissing his lips after.
"Hey. You ready?" i entered and close the door.
"Yeah. You ate already?"
"No. I wanted to buy groceries before i head home later."
"No problem. Our drive is downstairs." he held my hand after picking up his little bag.
We made our way down and to a black Chevrolet. He helped me in and the driver drove off.
"Where to boss?"
"My bank." he said while typing away on his phone.
"You have your own bank?" i ask.
"No. It's the bank where i keep all my money."
"Oh."
I sat there and look out the window at all the buildings while he was having a 'meeting' on the phone. It was nice seeing Adam in work mode because usually, he was always personal and funny. This time he was serious. When he got off the phone, we were at the bank. And i was glad that this wasn't the one my mom worked at.
"You have your documents?" he ask me.
"Yup." i smiled.
He held my hand yet again before speaking to the manager and then we went up the elevator and to a secluded room where there was a desk, few papers, a computer and a pen. The manager stepped out but will be back in few minutes.
