° Promise Me? °

3 months later (December 21st)

"Happy Birthday to you. Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Serenity... Happy birthday to you." my classmates sang and i blushed.

"Thank you." i grinned, looking at the blackforest cake infront of me. It had the candles on marked 16, waiting for me to blow out.

Once i did it, they applauded me sixteen times before they start cutting the cake and sharing it amongst the class.

Over the past months, I've gotten more 'popular' in my grade and people were starting to look up to me. Nobody found out i was pregnant and that was good however i was beginning to show more. I've been focusing alot on school and that was all because of  Adam. Rhyan helped but it was more like a threat.

Adam and i haven't been the same eversince that talk we had and i was upset about it. He wouldn't call me babe or baby like he use to and normally i wouldn't let it bother me but it was getting to my head now. I understood his reason but i promise that i won't get attached. For that matter, i haven't even seen him in three months so i was hoping to atleast see him today. If it was even facetime i would be grateful.

Jasper was standing at my class door with his arms folded, smiling at me. I returned the gesture before he left. Just then, i got a text from him.

He replied with a heart emoji and i giggled. Class was almost finished so the teacher allowed us to eat cake and take pictures. As for Ladasha, she wasn't in the class because she was jealous so she and her minions told us how lame this was before leaving. It wasn't a party so i wouldn't know what she was talking about.

When class was over, i was standing outside waiting for Jasper. I saw his ex girlfriend passing and i smiled to myself. She lost her status at school so she was big mad about that. Now she hates me and I'm totally fine with that. My parent's however, got 3 years behind bars because CSA found out what my father have been doing and how they've been treating me. It was then being circulated on the news.

What surprised me was that my sisters called Jasper to check up on me and i even spoke to them. I listened as they apologized about a dozen times before they told me they loved me and would come see me soon.

As for Jasper and i, he was now my boyfriend and was the best thing that ever happen to me. He was very helpful whenever i wasn't feeling well and was very supportive and motivating when i comes to me. I would say he kept me on my toes everyday.

"You ready?" he held my hand after helping me with the bags of gifts i got.

"Yeah." i smiled. We got in the car and made our way to my condo. Usually i would be texting Adam but not today. He was showing clear signs that he didn't wanna speak to me so i was doing him the favour of not being noticeable.

"How was your day?" he ask.

"It was good."

"You look happy."

"I'm kinda feeling happy." i looked at him.

"You're nearing your due date. I expect it."

I didn't know what to say after that so i just nodded.
