I look for Josh through the boring crowd. He left me an hour ago to talk to some guy but, never came back. Since then I have talked to four men, three women and drank two glasses of wine. I look around and I see this beautiful woman walk pass me rushed. I follow her with my eyes and see Josh. She grabs his arm and he looks at her shocked. I slowly walk over with a curious look as the men he was talking to walk away
"Joshy?!"She squeals
"What are you doing here?!"He whispers loudly
"Joshy?"I question out loud
Josh snaps eyes over at me and the girl looks over
"Is this her?"She asks looking over at him "The girl you left me for?"
I look over at him with my heart beating fast "Wait, yo-"
"No, I haven't touched anyone else but, you"He states quitely
Believing him I look back at her "Who are you?"
"Samatha" She smirks "His 'fun' buddy" winks
My heart drops
"Old, Old fun buddy"He clarifies looking at me then Samatha "We-I ended everything a long time ago"
A waiter walks by and I grab a glass of champagne chugging it down.
"Look,I don't want any trouble"She begins and I chuckle in disbelief "Really I don't, I am engaged"
Josh starts laughing, laughing to the point his whole face went red.
"I am! He's working on the ring, he wants it perfect like the perfect man he is. He may not be a millionaire-"
"Wait, he isn't a millionaire?"He asks sobering up
"No, he is a vet downtown"
I look at Josh who looks confused "Do you still-"
"No, I don't. He is my soul mate and my only fun body"She blushes
"This is just so surprising"He states still looking at her
"Josh"I step in
He looks over and Samantha smiles "Thank you for making me leave. Not only did I find my future husband but, you found your fiancée"
My eyes go wide and I look over at him
"No, she is JUST my girlfriend, nothing more"He states not looking at me
Feeling embarrassed and hurt I blush looking away from him when a single tear leaves my eye suddenly
Nothing more?
"But the Top 40 magazine said-"
"It was a lie"He states, I feel his eyes on me
"Oh....I should go and find him. Nice seeing you again"She thanks before walking off
"That was shocking" He chuckles "Noel?"
I look at him "What's wrong?"
"Nothing more?"I question
"Not like that" He states "I meant to the engagement rumor"
Not wanting to push it more I just nod and smile.
"I do plan on making you mine forever Noel...just not right now"He says pulling me closer
He kisses my softly before pulling away. "You smell...taste....look....amazing. You know how hard it is not to take you right here right now"He whispers
