SAM'S POV
After Jamie got picked up, I was on my own with the whole wheelchairing to the elevator. I hated being crippled. I couldn't do ANYTHING on my own. The bell rang, which signaled that Spanish was over and now I have English. Great. I was struggling to keep my backpack on my lap while attempting to roll the wheelchair. Suddenly, a senior came up to me in the hallway.
"Uh, do you need some help?" He asked. I didn't turn around to see his face. I didn't really care, I just needed help. I nodded, instead of talking. He took my backpack from my lap and pushed my wheel chair for me so I wouldn't have to attempt and fail with only one hand.
"Do you have to go in the elevator?" He asked me, this time I did answer.
"Yes, I do. I have english next. Thanks for your help, you really didn't have too." I said, rather politely. I recognized who it was and it was one of the cutest seniors in my school. Definitely not my type though. Niall was the perfect guy for me.
"It's no problem at all, you looked like you were having a bit of trouble." He said, he was really nice. But I knew his type. He was a jerk, a player. I wasn't going to go down that road, especially since I was with Niall. I can be friends with him, but only that and that was fine with me. I took my elevator key out and put it in the elevator to call it to me. Once we were in the elevator, just the two of us, he spoke again.
"My name's Brian by the way, nice to meet you!" He smiled, holding his hand out.
"The name's Sam, nice to meet you too!" I replied, shaking his hand with my good one.
"By the way, what in the world happened to you?" He said, laughing. I smiled at that. But what was I supposed to say? My boyfriend is in a band and we were at the mall and these girls recognized me and I fell and got mobbed? Yeah, no thanks. I'd rather not have every girl in this school bagging on me for dating Niall, and by that I mean hate. I thought of something quick, which sounded dumb but I don't care.
"Erm, We-Well, I was walking down the stairs in my house and I fell down 2 flights...." I said, embarrassed. But I didn't really care what he had to say. The elevator doors opened and he continued pushing me.
"I'll say you're very clumsy, but I wish you a speedy recovery, what room?" He said. He was really nice. But I knew he mainly did it so he wouldn't have to walk down the stairs.
"Uhm, Ms. Smith's room." I said. He got to her room quickly and pushed me to my seat. I said my thanks and after Ms. Smith gave him a pass, he was off. Everyone was staring at me.. It was weird.
"Is there something going on between you and Brian?" My friend Mary said. I let out a chuckle.
"HAHAHHA, no I never would date him. He saw me struggling to get to the elevator by myself because Jamie left early, so I let him help me." I said. Her eyebrows furrowed and she looked at me quizically.
"Why did Jamie leave early? I heard she got into a car with Harry Styles." She said. Omg, boy does news spread around school fast. I had to think of an excuse quick.
"Well, she just had some busine-" I was trying to answer Mary's question when Ms. Smith started talking. Ahhh, thank you Ms. Smith.
"Okay class, please do the warm up and we will go over it momentarily. Oh and don't forget about finding volunteers for the talent show for field day!" She said, very enthusiastically. I had to tell her about One Direction and Jamie singing.
"Uhm, Ms. Smith, can I talk to you about having volunteers for the talent show after class?" I asked.
"I have a meeting after class, just say it now." She said. Oh no. How am I supposed to just be like well, I know One Direction and they said that they can perform in the talent show for free oh and Jamie is singing in it? This will be a very long English class.
