When will this end?
I am tired of fighting back. Every single day of my life. Here I stand to enter into a new phase of life but it seems as if it will all be the same.
Men! I have only seen there bad. From the day I was raped till the day I am getting married. Why should my pain and misery continue?
Why?
I sighed, opened my eyes and looked at myself. The girl I saw in the mirror, was gorgeous. She was the bride. All she was missing was the smile, she once always had.
"You have to brighten up dear." the beautician named Sara said to me. I give her a faint sad smile.
I was not in an ideal position right now.
Initially, I hated those people because they never believed in me. I wanted to leave them and never came back. But now when I am actually leaving I don't want to, because firstly I didn't want to leave like this, by marrying someone I didn't even know about. Secondly because I want to explain that incident so they know that it wasn't my fault. I love them. I love my family.
"Arhhhhhh!" I hiss out of pain. My head hurts like hell. "Ma'am are you alright?" a girl asked. I shook my head "Do you have aspirin?" I ask. She nodded and after a moment came with aspirin and water. I took the medicine with water. I see the clock and it was only 4:00 pm and the wedding started at 7:00 pm I had 3 hours. What will I do in this time?
I called Yaqteen to pick me up from the salon. He texted me that he was waiting outside. I walk with the heavy dress and exit beauty salon but there was no one here. I call Yaqteen and guess what? He went to the wrong salon.
Typical brothers!
I was about go to inside the salon when a car stopped in front of me. The driver came out "Ma'am I have been sent to give you this jewelery." he says handed me some boxes. I nod. "Arish Sir had sent me to give these to you." he tells. "You may leave before I lose my calm and take all of my frustration on you." I say seriously and wait for him to leave. He nervously gulps and rushes to the car before driving off as fast as he could.
Am I that scary?
I sigh and walk inside handling both my dress and the boxes. I take out the jewelery. It was a diamond set. Why does he think that everything expensive is beautiful? I put the boxes in my bag and take out the jewelery my mother gave me. Now that I was done I could wait for Yaqteen to come. I lay on the big couch and fix my dress. I was so tired that as soon as I closed my eyes I fell asleep .
I slowly opened my eyes to see I was still in the salon. I sigh and see it's 7:30 pm. I called Yaqteen. After 2 rings he picks up.
"Where are you? I have been waiting for you for hours now." I say annoyed. He chuckles. "I am outside, waiting for you for the past 1 hour." my eyes widen. "I will be there." I say and hung up. Pick my bag and walk outside. This time he was here. Thank God!
The car ride was mostly quiet. He took me to the venue and helped me walk with the heavy dress. I was sitting in the bridal room and my family members were coming and taking pictures with me. I always imagined, that the wedding day is a magical day for a girl. Where everyone treats her like a queen. But it's quite the opposite for me. I hate this. People giving me fake attention, acting like they love me and care about me. It's all so fake.
" Oh Lord of Heaven's ! " I see Mehmad coming towards me.
" You look so beautiful." He said.
" Are you crying?" I asked.
" Of course I am. Our pumpkin has grown in this beautiful bride. " He said as he wiped the corner of his eye.
I nervously smiled and hold back a bike of emotions .
