Shehriyar's POV :
Silence shrieked through air as I drove towards home. Arish , of course , silent about the situation at hand. We had searched every corner of the mall and the surrounding areas. But to no luck.
How did it happen? I didn't know and he wouldn't tell.
" Maybe one of our rival companies did this?" I assumed .
" They wouldn't dare." Was all he spoke.
Arish quickly got out of the car as soon as we arrived at home. I ran after him. He grabbed father from his collar and spoke coldly.
" If you have any hand in this, you better kill yourself and end your misery here. Because you know me more than anyone else. " He said pushing father on the sofa and went towards his room.
" Do you know where she is?" I asked father but he walked away without the care of anyone.
Almir rushed in , his eyes full of doubt, hope and questions that had no good answer.
A tear ran down my cheek as I fell on the near by sofa. " We didn't find anything. It's been 2 weeks Almir. 2 weeks!" I exclaimed
" You better eat something. It's been a rough day." Almir said as he left
I went straight inside my room and tried to get some sleep. I remember that day when she went missing. It was chaos, everyone was looking for her.
Daniyal !
He hasn't rested since then.
Yaqteen !
He has been looking for her with us.
But no matter how much we searched for her, we had nothing! It was like she vanished in thin air.
I yelled at Arish that day. Told him it was his responsibility to take care of her, to look after her. And now she is gone just because he wasn't careful enough.
I regret saying all of that to him. He has been the worst since then. There is a feeling in my heart that she wanted to go away herself. I don't know why and I certainly don't want to know.
I know Arish isn't the most delightful person to live with. I tried to ease it for her at first. Now, however, she was a part of this family. She was the family.
My sister!
What if she didn't want that?
I miss her. I miss the little bit normalcy we had in our lives. A heard sounds from upstairs, I hurried to Arish's room where the sound was coming from.
He was a mess. He sat there beside his bed, his eyes red from fury or sorrow I couldn't tell.
" I can't find her!" He whispered, his voice shaking along his form.
" We will. I know we will." I replied with a hint of uncertainty in my voice.
Will we find her?
" I ruined everything. I shouldn't have married her. She would've been fine without me in her life." He said as tears ran down his face.
" She was happy with you. She loved you." I said without realizing my own words.
Was? Loved?
She is alive right? I asked but no reply came.
"SHE IS GONE!" He yelled as I left his room and sighed.
" SHE ISN'T! " Almir shouted from behind me. " This is all because you can't keep your eyes open or pay attention to Jana. To hell with you. You never deserved her. Never! " He said as he rushed inside his room.
