Chapter 19

" Can I ... Well, I want mmm- " I mumbled. " What is it? Just say it" Arish said shutting off his laptop.

I look up at him and realized something which I didn't want to admitt myself. "Nothing!" I said and rushed to the washroom . I looked at the reflection .

Honestly, I was tried of that house and those people who I called my family. I wanted to run away and be free. Arish just happened to be a quicker and easier way. I used him and married him because I wanted to get out of that wretched life of mine.

"Jana!" Arish shouted . I went into the room. He took my hand and made me sit on the bed .

" My dear little stubborn wife! I am not good at making people feel better or calming them . Much less figuring out if they are okay or not. So just tell me what is going inside this head of yours."

" Well, someone is talkative today." I exclaimed and rubbed my hands nervously. He tugged a strand behind my ear. "Just open up to me. Please!" He said his eyes softened.

" I can't " I said my voice was shaky. " Can I tell you something I don't want to admitt ?" He asked . I simply nodded looking at my hand in his. Such an old warmth.

" Okay! I didn't know anything about you when I married you. Nothing . I just married you out of lust." He said and I looked up as my eyes went a bit wider than usual.

" You what?"

" Hey! Don't judge me yet. I had this feeling that you are the one and I should never let go."

" You just married me out of lust?" I grabbed a pillow and hit in his face . 

" No you pervert you didn't ." I said and climbed on top of him and smother him with the pillow. He threw the pillow and I punched his chest until I grew tired.

" You can get off me. Now!" He said . I got off him and sat to the other side of the bed .

" I married you because I wanted to be free . I didn't do it because of Manahil or anyone."

" And I am glad you married me for something that you wanted to have not for someone who didn't even bother to check on you after that."

" Mehmad! Was a nice friend just like Reza and Zainab, amazing till they lasted. But our friendships had an expiration date. So they expired."

" Well, I am also glad they expired. I can't have any other men surrounding my wife."

" Arhhhhhh! Can you please just shut up! "

" I can but I don't want to . Now you want something from me ?" He said raising my chin until your eyes met.

" No! "

"Yes!"

"Nooooo!"

" You are behaving like a teenager ! Just tell me !"

" Well , for your information I am 20. "

He chuckled and embraced me in a hug . " Your way of telling me I married some immature little girl."

I really wanted to punch him in the face, I really did but instead I just placed my head on his chest . Listening to his heart beat again , "Your heart is at such peace I can't explained. " I said as I closed my eyes.

" It is when you are around!" He kissed my head. I said as I drifted into sleep.
