A continuation of Murphy's Law

--

Arthit sits on a chair facing his reflection at the vanity mirror in front of him. The stylist had done a good job making him look presentable - which he was thankful for. His pink hair is gone, and they styled his hair appropriately making it look like it was cut on purpose and wasn't a product of a drunken haze his wonderful friends brought to him last night.

Inside the room, he was joined by his friends who are all dressed up cleanly. They're all just waiting for the ceremony to start.

There's a light knock on the door which catches their attention. Arthit heaves a deep breath, calming his heart down.

He's nervous as hell - this is his wedding to begin with.

Knott opens the door revealing the smiling faces of Kongpob's sisters.

One by one, they enter the room, greeting Arthit's friends and then him.

He stands up, hugging P'Kit and the others, thanking him for congratulating him on this fateful day.

"This is for you, Arthit," smiles P'Kit.

She hands him a red envelope and a box. Arthit smiles back at her, feeling the rough edges of the envelope on his palm.

The sisters bid their goodbye after that, leaving Arthit sitting on the bed, looking down at the letter handed for him.

His name is carefully written with Kongpob's penmanship.

Arthit smiles.

The others seem to be waiting for him to open the letter, so he does after rolling his eyes at them.

"Is it money?" Bright jokingly says.

He chuckles, unfolding the piece of paper containing Kongpob's words.

Arthit proceeds to read.

"P'Arthit,

The first time we met - although you don't remember, I was having jitters from entering university, and on what program to choose.

You showed me that path.

The next time I saw you, it was on the school's gym and I was sitting on the floor together with my batch mates, and you were standing in front of us with your hands behind your back.

You taught me discipline.

The very first time we kissed was before we even had a proper date. It was on the Rama Bridge, right after you technically forced me to eat noodles with you.

It was that very night where you accepted my feelings for you, and the very night you decided to try for me.

It was a night I won't ever forget.

The first time I really get to taste your lips was on a night on a beach where the company held an outing.

It was just by the sea under the night sky. And although the sound of the waves was present, the only thing I could hear was my heart beating and the hitch of your breath when we finally kissed.

It was a night I will treasure.

There are a lot of first times that I have shared with you, P'Arthit. And from this moment on, I hope to experience a lot of first time by your side.

The last time we went on a date was last Friday where you took me bowling for the first time. Remember how bad we both were? I still remember your laugh.
