After breakfast was finished, Zac and Alex begun to clean up the kitchen, Tony went a crossed the street to talk to Khan. Me, Fi, and Max went back upstairs, Fi was determined to do her regular physical that she wasn't able to do earlier, because of reasons. While she started with me."I don't understand this." Fi stated, looking confused.
"Understand what?" I asked and she let go of my leg.
"Your leg, all there is, is a faint scar, there isn't bruising, and with how much you use it and the way you use it, it doesn't seem to be causing you any pain. Your not even lipping. There is no way that you should already be this healed." Fi rants, she paced and pointed at my leg as she did this.
"It's sore if that makes you feel any better." I stated. Fi sighed and walked over to Max. "Does this mean that I can walk on my leg again?" I asked her, she dropped her head and then looked over at me.
"I can't see a reason for you not to." She said, I jumped off the bed and landed on my own to feet and Fi went back to looking over Max.
"Sage hold still." Fi told me and I froze.
"But you said that I could use my leg." I whined.
"It's not about you, now walk out into the hallway." Fi told me, I turned to see what she was doing, she was staring at a bruise on Max's arm. I walked into the hallway and there.
"Now come back." Fi said, I walked closer to where Fi was.
"What is going on?" I asked, Max shrugged his shoulders, and looked up at Fi.
"Look at this bruise." Fi pointed at a very faint bruise on Max's arm. "When I checked this yesterday it was almost black, and just barely when you walked back into the room it lightened by two shades." Fi looked at me straight in the eyes.
"So what are you saying, that my presences is healing him?" I asked.
"Maybe?" She shrugged and kept checking the rest of him.
"I am going to go talk to Zac, I will be back." I stated and walked out of the room, I went down the stairs to the kitchen where Zac and Alex, Zac was doing the dishes and Alex was preparing the meat for the next meal. "Zac can I talk to you?" I asked "In private." I added. Zac took her hands out of the sink and washed the soup off of her hands, she walked over and picked up her jacket off the rack and handed me mine and we walked out onto the porch.
"So what do you want to talk about?" She asked me.
"That mural you brought me to, do you know anything more about it? You said that it had something to do with stories that your grandfather used to tell you." I asked her.
"Yeah, uhm, grandpa used to say that our people believed that it was a mural of the last death fae." She stated.
"Death Fae?" I asked, as we started walking down the street, everything was cold, but then again it was midwinter.
"Yeah there was different types of Fae in the beginning, the death fae are claimed to be the closest thing the Goddess of Death, had for children. They were the only beings who could truly escape death." She said.
"I thought that you said that he was the last one?" I questioned.
"He is, the myth is that the other fae finally found a weapon to kill the death and because everyone feared them, they killed all of them, all except one. The last death fae hid, he hid for so long that everyone forgot about him and once they forgot, he went out and stole every single weapon that could kill him and destroyed them. Now he wanders the earth looking for someone that can carry a death fae child, they say that with blood they will know.." She told me.
"Wait... you mean..." I had flashbacks to the night that the death fae was in my house.
"That's how I knew to bring you to the mural, when you mentioned the blood." Zac said.
"So what does all of that mean?" I asked her.
"Watch out for the death fae, he is probably going to come back for you." She stated.
"Thanks Zac, yet another thing that is going to keep me from ever sleeping again." I stated and she laughed.
"So is that all you want to talk to me about?" She asked.
"No I was wondering about rapid healing." I stated."Well there are definitely stories about people who can do it, especially the fae. Is there anything specific about the rapid healing?" Zac asked me and had an expression on her face, she knew I was asking because of something that happened.
"Rapid healing around a certain person and that is about it." I responded.
"Well that actually sounds like someone healing someone else, which any person with access to magic and proper training can do." She stated, I have no clue how she knows all of this.
"What if the person didn't know what they were doing?" I asked her.
"That doesn't sound like magic wielders, I am not saying that it can't happen. But that sounds like the bond of souls." She stated, I probably had a confused look on my face because Zac smiled and continued. "It is a bond that happens between a god and a human, fae, anything besides another god really. The bond would fuse their souls together, more on the side of the human then the god. The bond would make the humans faster, stronger, they would heal faster in the presence of their god, in the myth there is talk of a telepathic connection between the god and the bonded. It also says that the bond can fade away if the connection between the god and bonded does, something about it being emotion based." We had almost made it completely around the block.
"And only the gods could do this?" I questioned.
"Well some of our scholars believe that the half-breeds, a child born to both a human and a god. But there is no proof of that." She stated, we stopped in front of the house. "I am not saying that this is what is going on or anything, especially because most of the folklore says that all of the gods are dead, but if this is the bond. I think you need to know that the bonded can become addicted to the bond, so in the case in which the bond fades the bonded will go through withdrawals and potentially crave being around the god they were connected to." She told in a strict voice while gripping my wrist tightly.Just as she finished speaking Fi, Tony, Alex, and Max came out of the house and at the same time Khan and a couple of his men came out of his house. Max walks behind me and puts his hand on my back.
"You ready?" Max asked me, and honestly I didn't know the answer.
