Part 1: Sage // Chapter Fifteen [Unedited]

This ride home was extremely quiet, but mainly painful. I had been on my leg too much, I had reopened the wound. I am pretty sure that Alex broke something in his shoulder, and Max was beat to all hell. Zac might of been in shock or something and that's why she was silent. Once the ride was over, me and Alex help Max into the house. It was late and no one was on the porch this time.

"Zac, will you go get Fi?" Alex asked her, she went over to the other house. Me and Alex made it up to Max's room and we dropped him on the bed, at about that same time Fi walks into the room. She was small woman with natural red hair and pale skin.

"What the hell are you doing up?" She yelled at me and looked at my leg. "You idiot you could have seriously ruined your leg." She said and pushed me over, I landed on Max's bed.

"Told you so." Alex mumbled. Fi started working on Max's wounds.

"Fi, will you check out Alex's shoulder? He took out a couple of doors on our way out and I swear that I heard a crack." I stated and Alex gave this look of how could you.

"I swear to god, you three are going to keep me busy for the next week, just making sure that you don't ruin all of my hard work." Fi sighed and kept working on Max.

"What is all of this about anyways?" I asked.

"A rumor." Alex said.

"Khan believes that they may have found a cure and he wants to get his hands on it so it can actually be given out, and not selectively chosen people." Max huffed in pain as Fi was putting him in a sitting position. "And since last time, when I found a sample in the lab, that looked to have some kind of weird properties he is even more determined to get it." He added.

"A sample in the lab? So the cure isn't finished?" I asked and Alex and Max looked up at me, like they had never thought of it. Fi walked away from Max, back to her bag, and poked Alex's shoulder.

"Ow." Alex yelled. "Well maybe it was just an old sample." Alex continued, while rubbing his shoulder.

"Actually, now that I think of it. It was a blood sample and from the label, it said it was new." Max said, Fi was back over to him trying to take off the shirt that he had on, she motioned Zac over to help her.

"A blood sample, that is completely different then a cure." Alex yelled.

"I know, I told Khan this, but there was a report next to it and it said some weird stuff about having concentration levels of some weird thing, and he said that was exactly what he was looking for." Max said, my heart dropped. Khan was going to send him in after my blood.

Alex was reading my face, Max was focusing on Fi, who was wrapping his stomach, after poking him."What's wrong?" He asked.

"How much of it was there?" I asked Max.

"It looked like they had quite a bit, but I only grabbed one sample before they caught me." He stated, "Which they confiscated." he added.

"Stay here." I told Max and Alex. "Don't go with anywhere! Lock the doors!" I yelled as I ran out the door.

"You get back here young lady." Fi yelled behind me, but I was already down the stairs. I ran across the street to Khan's house, the door was unlocked I walked in and the living room, dining room, and kitchen were full of people.

"Where's Khan?" I yelled with anger in my voice and everything got quiet. A brunette girl, who was pretty small in stature, who was sitting on the couch stood up and walked over to me.

"He has requested some alone time, what do you need?" The brunette said to me.

"I need to talk to him, and no one else and I need to do it right now." I shouted and started walking towards the stairs, one of Khan's lackies got in my way.

"I am sorry but I can't let you go up there." The lacky said to me, blocking my way.

"I would much rather be your friend, but if you going to do this to me then I am going to have to take some actions that are going ruin our chances at friendship." I told him.

"I can't let you up there." He repeated himself.

"Fine, lap dog." I said, I turned around and then spun around and kicked the Lacky full force in the jaw. The lacky fell to the ground, blood was coming out of his nose and mouth. I looked around at everyone else in the room. "Anyone else?" I yelled. No one responded. "Someone get him an ice pack for when he wakes up." I said and went up the stairs and started opening doors. The second door I tried, Khan was in bed with blonde haired girl, they both looked over at me.

"What the hell Sage!?" He yelled at me and jumped out of the bed. He threw on some nearby pants. "Why the hell are you over here." He said, I walked up to him and slapped him.

"Your going after a fucking blood sample, that is what your risked Max's life for a stupid blood sample." I yelled at him.

"It's more than just a stupid blood sample." He said to me.

"It's not some master cure." I yelled at him."How would you know that have you tested it, have you seen it in action." He yelled back at me.

"Have you?" I responded.

"Why does it matter to you?" He asked, "I know Max is sweet on you, but that doesn't mean anything." He told me.

"This is not about Max." I stated.

"Then what is this about? Did you know that you were probably just one of their first test subjects, one of the ones they were going to let die if it didn't work." He stated "Imagine if we could wake everybody up. This would all be over, with just one person's blood." He told me.

"The blood doesn't do that." I shouted at him."How do you know that?" He asked."Because it was my blood." I yelled at him. "You want it?" I yelled and took the knife off of his dresser and cut my arm and showed him the blood, I wiped it along the dresser and smashed a candle against, the dark blue fire roared against it. "This is what you are after and it's not a cure. It's a poison." I finished "And I am going back, by myself to get what is left of it." I looked at him cross. "Because you were right about one thing, they shouldn't have it, but neither should you." I yelled. "You get in my way or come after it, and I will end you." I showed him my arm and walked out of the room and ran downstairs, I walked into the study and took all of the plans off of his wall and everything that looked to have to deal with this heist. I turned around and Khan and his men were standing there. I went to leave the room and Khan grabbed my shoulder. I quickly grabbed his wrist and twisted it, back. "Out of my way." Tony came up behind, Khan and looked at my arm.

"I am going to say this once boss, move." Tony said and everybody moved, he took the pages from me and walked over to the door. "Come on, babe." He said to Fi who was by the door, she had finally caught up to me, Tony walked out the front, I followed close and so did Fi. We walked over to the other house, I opened the door and Tony walked over and put everything on the table. Tony pointed at my arm. "Explain."
