She is panicking because he has no pulse so she rips off his mask to reveal Peter. She was frozen for a minute then remembered that he is still dying. She thinks quickly and starts doing mouth to mouth compressions. He coughs out water an looks up. You are so thankful you hug him and shout, "Peter!" He's confused and says "How do you know my name?"
I liked this one, because it was realistic. If someone you have kinda admired for a long time, and they're dying, you're gonna freeze for a second. You're also going to be curious as to who's under the mask, so yeah, you're going to take it off. Then the compressions will kick in from training.
