Chapter 45

Today another package was received and this time around it was a note .  

Hailey is safe but but as for the wench Brittany I'm not sure how long that's gonna last  tic toc tic toc.

Was all the note said but at least one thing is confirmed who ever took Hailey took Brittany . The police are looking into Larry and haven't found anything suspicious all his Alibi's match so now we're back to square one .

I don't get it if the person hated Brittany then why take Hailey we're being played like a game of chicken and I hate it .  The police had taken the note to see if they could find fingerprints since the note was typed with a typewriter. Who still uses a typewriter???

Jaden was curled up with me watching paw patrol leaving me lost in my thoughts . Mya and Alissa have been helping me take care of the kids while I sit here helpless trying to imagine what Hailey and Brittany must be going through , Brittany is not my favorite person but It doesn't mean I want her getting harmed .

" hi " I hear someone say and look towards the direction of the voice and see Daniel standing there I just nod to acknowledge him " how do you feel " he adds .

" I should be asking you that , your daughter is missing "

" our daughter " he corrects me while I just nod my head and drift back into my thoughts we haven't spoken much lately.
He carries Jaden sleepy body  off me and plays with hair I while I stare at him I'm starting to notice things I didn't before like the eye bags in his eyes and the stubbles on his jaw.

" I love you Daniel " I blurt you abruptly he looks at me for a minute like he was trying to read me and just nods his head a small smile formed on his face the first I've seen since haileys disappearance , it wasn't his regular smile but at this point I'll take anything.

" I love you too Nicole "he says and goes back to stroking jadens hair while we sit there in silence .

An hour has passed and Daniel is fast asleep with Jaden on the hospital chair , his phone kept vibrating disturbing me  after so many failed attempts to wake him up I decided to go check it my self .

There's numerous text messages from an unknown number I decide to open them out of curiosity.

" what's the fuck !!!! " we're the only words I could muster while I scroll through the text messages .

" Daniel wake up " I say shaking  him to wake him up while he keeps grumbling.
" don't let me pour a bucket of water on you " I threaten.

" what is it Nicole " he mumbles incoherently.

" wake the fuck up that's what it is " I respond shaking him .

" fine fine fuck " he says under his breath rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand.
I show him the text messages on his phone which wipes off every trace of sleep from his eyes faster than me threatening to drench him in cold water .

" I'm calling the police " he says as he grabs his home from my hands .

The detectives came in fourteen minutes and were asking questions . I sat in the corner feeding the twins.

" do you know what this means " she asks Daniel pointing at one of the text messages.

" I have no clue " he responds .

" this means who ever took them knows you personally and is out for revenge. " she says.

" I'm a simple guy I don't get all of this " he says frustrated as he runs his hands through his hair.

" I know mr Williams I'm sorry your family is going through this " she replies sympathetically.

The number sent the text messages wasn't traceable so there was no lead the only lead we had was that who ever did this has it out for Brittany, she must have pissed a lot of people off in her life time . From the pictures sent she looked battered and badly.
Daniel follows the detective to the station while I stay here with the kids . Mya and Alissa we're here so Jaden had someone to play with , he woke up from all the noise and had legos scattered all over the floor courtesy of Tyra always buying them for him without my permission cause he's her Godson.

The twins are back to sleeping, I wish I could trade lives with them and all I had to do was eat and sleep, no rent, no work , nothing .
I feel my phone ring and see Daniels name flash on the screen .

" hey "

" heyyy " he says excited " there's news " he says pausing for a minute before he continues his statement " the police found the van there's no records so it was most likely bought in cash , but hats not the good news they found finger prints "he says excitedly .  " I don't want you to tell anyone about this it stays between us okay " he adds while I just nod my head through the phone like he could see me .

" bye I love you " were the only words I said before I ended the call .

Sorry I didn't update for a month 🙃. I apologize has honestly been so crazy planned on updating but I fell ill again and rip to Cameron Boyce I was a Disney fan all my life and watching him on Disney was the highlight of my life he was the first ever kid I saw with freckles and it intrigued me , he was goofy , funny and loved by all , Rest In Peace everyone's first Disney crush . When I found out I was so shocked I legit threw my phone away cause I didn't believe it he was so young , a shining star and a kid with numerous potential. My heart breaks for his family and friends .

Random but I met a guy 🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♀️
