"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—"

Each moment I find myself discouraged,
frail, insecure, and hopeless,
You tell me:
You stand-by me
Telling me I can lean on
And switch to You.
You comfort me
With peace incomprehensible,
Muttering healing to my wounded heart and flesh.
You advocate for me
Speaking with a firm voice
"not guilty and uncondemned" before the accuser.
You strengthen my weary bones
Holding me steady to run unfettered,
And stand firm on the truth!
You counsel and guide me
Teaching my hands to make war,
And instructing me in my night seasons.
You intercede on my behalf,
Because Abba knows
I need groanings that can't be uttered more than words.
You help me
To see beyond the seen
And have faith even when all seems bleak.
All because You are
Allos Parakletos*,
Another One of the same kind.

The Holy Spirit is in us and with us. He is here to comfort, help, advocate, strengthen, intercede for, counsel and stand by us. We just need to let Him and lean on Him.
I have enjoyed and I'm still enjoying the benefits of receiving the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
