Matthew 25:6 (King James Version)
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Like a GIF playing in a loop,
My mind keeps returning to that moment
When my heart skipped a beat.
I am told it’s arrhythmia.
But I’m convinced it’s the Big L.

My imagination runs wild,
And I see myself clad in white,
Walking down the aisle towards a bright light,
A light that looks like a lion,
“Or is it a lamb?” , I wonder.

As I get closer to it,
It’s face lights up, even more brightly.
I am blinded but still see clearly
That it’s HIM!
He holds out His hand, palm up, reaching for me.

Without hesitation,
My fingers grasp His,
Holding tightly to Him,
As He wraps me gently in His arms with unimaginable words (of grace and mercy)
Echoing in Forever.

In reality,
I find myself surrounded with Light,
Light with no shadow.
My heart skips another beat,
Not in fear but Perfect Love.
(My bridegroom is here to stay)

Jesus is our bridegroom, and the church is the bride. I am His bride! *giggles*

I love God and all that He has prepared for us. His love for us is without fear! His love casts out fear.
