Like a babe
In the arms of her Father,
I rest in Your arms.
My feet
-though wobbly-
Stand on Your word and promises.
Like a ready writer
Poised to scribble,
I read Your word.
My lips,
Even while quivering,
Confess your revealed promises to me.
Like a tree
Bending in the wind,
I yield to Your will.
My arms,
Sometimes shaky,
Lift up in total surrender to You.
Like a soldier
Ready for battle,
I follow Your instructions.
My mind made up,
I know You won't thrust me
Into more than I can handle.
Like an evangelist
Bringing more souls,
I go out to do my Father's business.
My spirit
Leaning on You
For the right articulations.
For my hope
Lies in You.
My all is You.
And in You
Do I consist.
I trust You completely.
