When I say I'm a Christian
I don't mean I just speak Christianese
And plough through life
Without hope or power.
I mean that I have Zoe flowing in me!
When I say I'm a Christian
I'm saying
That grace has licensed me
To live right and whole.
I'm saying I'm free from the curse of the law!
When I say I'm a Christian
I don't mean I'm a forgiven sinner
But a forgiven son-
A joint heir with Christ.
Meant to rule and reign!
When I say I'm a Christian
I'm not trying to shove it in your face
I just want you to know
Who True Love is
And how He saved me, from myself.
When I say I am a Christian
I mean God's not just with me on Sundays,
But Everyday.
It's a relationship,
Not a religion.
When I say I am a Christian
It doesn't mean I'm the perfect being
It means I've found perfect peace
In a Person willing to save me
On my journey of constant stumbling.
