"Girl didn't I tell you get out of my house!"

I slowly open my eyes to see my mom staring down at me in my room. I slowly get up irritated.

"Didn't I tell you to knock before coming into my room?" I rub my eyes. My mom looks at me in one of those looks. I know I've said too much.

"Be out by 6:45 Liv." She says and leaves closing my door hard behind her. I don't know why I'm always late for school. I even set my alarm......sometimes.

I walk into the bathroom and immediately wash my face. I'm always so greasy when I wake up. Then I get in the shower for about 10 minutes. I know I don't have that long to do make-up or even get my clothes on but I'm going to anyway.

I hurry and brush my teeth and then go back into my room to put on my clothes. I decide to wear this.

Then I hurry and do my make-up

Then I hurry and do my make-up. I can't do a real full face, so I just put on concealer, do my eyebrows, mascara, and lip gloss. I have a pretty clear face so I don't really need concealer.

I take one last look in my full length mirror and then walk out my room. I then run to kitchen, give my mom a kiss, and run out the door making sure to lock it behind me.

The walk to school is about 5 minutes, that's why usually I'm not really that late. But it's 7:00 and that's when school starts so apparently that's not the case today.

I walk into the main office and my favorite secretary is there. Mrs. Spear who I call Kim, She always gives me a late slip with a pass on it even though I should just get a regular late slip. As soon as I come in she smiles. I smile back.

"Late again Olivia?" She says slightly laughing. "I just don't know what to do Mrs. Spear." I say grabbing the slip. "Buy a new alarm clock." I just smile and walk out the door heading to my homeroom.

I hate coming into my homeroom late. Everyone in my class doesn't know how to mind their business, and they look at me with their judgmental eyes. Today, was no different. My homeroom teacher Mrs. Lansing is mean. And only to me. I think it's because I always come in late.

"Ms. Kendrick late again?" She says raising an eyebrow at me as the rest of class falls silent and all eyes are on me. I slightly roll my eyes and just hand her the slip. I don't have time for her foolishness.

I walk back to my seat all the way in back by my shorty Jamal Ellis. Jamal has been my boy best friend ever since we were in diapers. I would do anything for him and he would do the same for me. It's always a good time when we get together.

"Wassup Liv." He says giving me a hug. I wrap my arms around his neck and smell his cologne. This boy always got some cologne on. We break the hug.

"Nothing much." I say and sit in my desk beside his. Before the bell rings, we get to talking and laughing about just anything and everything. It's so easy to talk to him. Then the bell rings for 1st period.

I still haven't even gone to my locker.

"J walk me to my locker." He gives me one of those looks like, he doesn't want to. I give him puppy dog eyes and he sighs.  "This is why you need to be here on time girl hurry up." He says and we walk out of class together.
