Louis POV
I run down the stairs as fast as I can and I'm not surprised when I see my mum in the hallway. I try to get past her but she stops me. My heart races in my throat and I'm scared of what's gonna happen next.
She pulls me close to her, putting her head next to my ear. "Faggot, no one likes you", she whispers in my ear before kicking me in the balls again. She walks away and slams the door shut, leaving me behind, lying on the ground.
Silently crying I get up from the floor and I slowly walk over to Harry's place, tears falling down my cheek.
As I lift my arm to knock on the door, Harry already opens the door and gasps.
"Lou? What happened?", he asks me worriedly and I walk in the house. He closes the door behind us and pulls me in a tight hug, I sob on his shoulder.
"Let's go upstairs and talk in my bedroom, yeah?", he proposes and I nod, wrapping my arm around his waist and helping him up the stairs.
Once we get into his bedroom, we both hop in the bed. Harry scoots closer to me and wraps his arms around me once again.
"Your eye, what happened?", he softly whispers and runs his fingertips over my cheek, making sure not to touch my throbbing eye.
I swallow, "My-my mum."
"Don't cry, love", he rubs my back.
"She called me a f-faggot multiple times a-and she called me d-disgusting, she slapped me, and punched me in the face and kicked me in-in the balls. She-she", I sob.
"Shh, love. It's okay, she's wrong, you're perfect", Harry cuts me off and hearing him say these words makes me cry even harder, not because I'm sad, but because I'm so lucky to have him.
"But-", I start but he cuts me off once again.
"Louis, darling, listen to me. I don't know what she said to you, but I do know that she's wrong. Lou, you're an amazing person. She said you're a faggot? Well, you know what, love, there's nothing wrong with being gay. I'm gay and you're gay. I'm Harry and you're Louis. I love you and you love me."
I nod, "Yeah."
"It doesn't matter what she thinks Lou, of course it hurts and that's perfectly understandable. But we're happy together. I know I'm happy with you, happier than I've ever been before. You seem happy too and I love you so much. Isn't that all that should matter? Our love is the most important thing, right?"
"You're right", my voice breaks and I pull Harry close to me. "If she supports us or not, I love you either way."
"I love you, baby."
I try to wipe away a tear from my eyes but then I feel pain, a lot of pain. I hiss, closing my eyes tightly.
"Lou? Are you okay? I'm getting you an icepack. I'll call Gemma to bring us one."
I nod and a few minutes later Gemma walks in with an icepack.
"What happened?" she asks worriedly as she sees me. I start crying again and she sits down on the bed, wrapping her arms about me. "It's okay Louis. Don't cry."
"His mum beat him up and yelled at him", Harry softly explains and I nod. Gemma hugs me tighter. "Oh, Lou. I'm so sorry".
After a few moments she releases me, "Lay down. I'm putting the icepack on your eye, okay?"
I lay down and Harry immediately snuggles up to me, using my chest as a pillow. I wrap my arm around him and play with his curls as my other hand searches for his hand. He puts his hand around my middle and our hands find each other, our fingers tangled.
