The guard spoke once more before calmly walking up to my emotionless body and tying my hands behind my back.

Y/n's POV
Time went on, I couldn't sleep that night. I was too scared.

My father told me a while ago that they caught the intruder but trust didn't help me with my fear.

My mind lingered with questions, who was the intruder? What was their intention with breaking into the castle? Am I in danger now?

I mentioned it before but my parents don't want people knowing about me. I'm a big secret just waiting to become revealed to the whole world with this intruder finding out about my existence.

I'm guessing that the intruder was a fellow elf, I mean they had the same figure as an elf. I haven never seen a human before, so I couldn't guess that.

My parents always kept me pure, I knew if humans due to the conversations my dad has with his guards in the throne room. I'm not suppose to know this but I would eavesdrop and that's how I learned about them.

I knew about the war of Elves and Humans because of the eavesdropping and everything the Humans would do if they ever got their hands on me which, was scary to think about.

The night seemed to be ending soon based on the position of the moon in the dark stary night.

I really wanted to have my questions answered by this strange figure who appeared in my room in the middle of the night.

I shook the thoughts away from my head and got out of my bed.

Quietly, I left my room with just a single lit candle to light my way through the dark hallways.

Right before my parents go to bed, they keep the hallway candles lit and they must of been lit when the intruder left my room.

I tiptoe my way down the halls, not wanting to wake up my parents and have them question me.

Luckily for me, the guards were all asleep. You'd think they'd be alert after what happened but it looks like they closed all the windows and doors, not allowing another intruder to break in.

I was also forced to close and lock the glass door that separated the room and my balcony.

The hallways ended as I found my way to the door that lead to the floor below, the dungeon.

One of the guards was careless and left the door unlocked, which would most likely get them killed if my father were to find out about it.

Slowly the door opened to revel the dark dungeon, the only light source available was from the moonlight escaping the night sky and into the room through some windows.

A sudden wave of fear came crashing over me, I've never been inside the dungeon before. My father filled my head with bad stuff about the dungeon and there prisoners, plus I was banned from ever going down there.

Everyday I would walk by the door that lead to the dungeon, fearing on whatever rested on the other side.

This was the first time I'll be able to see what is actually down here.

Minutes pass, soon my feet took me down the stairs that lead to all the different cells.

I didn't know what the now prisoner looked like, I do recall his silhouette when he stood in the dark room but that was it.

I took a close look at all the prisoners one by one to determine which one was my actual intruder.

Only one person fit the silhouette.
