"You look beautiful."

Clyde's POV
There I was in the middle of nowhere trying to find that backstabber Craig with that hot Elf girlfriend of his.

I would of never have imagined that Craig would go for an elf, I understand the whole thing about his boyfriend breaking up with him but still.

I didn't even know that he still likes women but I guess he did.

They had to be somewhere nearby but I just can't seem to find them.

I told myself I wouldn't go back to the Kingdom of Kupa Keep until I found Craig and Y/n, I still intend to keep that promise.

I decided to take a little break at a Human village, having a drink in the local bar in the village.

Right next to me say a human couple gossiping about something they saw awhile ago.

"I hate Humans and Elves together, they don't belong together." The lady spoke before sipping her drink.

"We should have called the guards when we saw them." The man replied.

Were they talking about Craig and Y/n?

I couldn't help but eavesdrop their conversation for where they could be hiding.

"Do you think they're in the next village over, I heard they allow both Human and Elves there." The lady scoffed at the thought of that.

This was the time where I spoke up, asking about the whereabouts of the two.

"Where is this village?" I asked them, facing the lady with a stern look plastered on my face.

"Why do you want to know?" The lady gave me an attitude with her sentence, clearly, she didn't trust me.

"I have unfinished business there with the man and the elf you speak of."

The lady smirked, now she understood why I wanted to know.

"Just south of here."

I paid for my drink and said my thanks to the couple who gave me the directions of the village.

Craig's a deadman once I see them again.

Y/n's POV
It was getting dark, we were still stationed in the village which was safe for us, for now.

We were hanging out in our room in the inn, trying to keep ourselves hidden from whatever may be hunting us out there.

I stared out the window, pondering on life without being hunted and many other things.

My thoughts were disrupted by my stomach. It growled indicating that I was hungry.

I haven't eaten since lunch, but it wasn't a very big lunch as we had to be careful not to draw attention to ourselves.

"Craig..." I stated.

Craig looked at me from the book he was reading.

"Can we go eat?" I was so hungry I couldn't stand it.

Craig thought about it for a second, he opened his mouth to speak only to close it back up.

Finally, he spoke.

"Fine." He got up and set his book on the dresser that was a little away from his side of the bed.

I still didn't understand why we had one bed and not two, I mean it was weird and awkward.

"Let's go." Craig walked towards the door for our room, I followed along after him.

We went to a little restaurant that was right across the street from our inn.

It was nice and the decor was absolutely beautiful.

We decided to sit outside since it was nice out, it would be a shame for a nice day like today to go to waste by us sitting indoor.

"It's nice out here," I spoke, breaking the silence that once stood before us.

Craig didn't say anything, he just shook his head in a yes manner to show that he agrees with the statement that left my mouth.

We ordered our food and drinks and waited for the waiter to bring them out.

We talked about stuff while we waited, different things and it seemed like I wasn't the only one having a good time with another person.

The street lamps that lined the side of the street reflected off Craig's face and I never realized how handsome Craig actually was until now.

Almost instantly I bit my lip hard, hoping to get that thought out of my head and focusing on something else to clear that thought from my head.

"Y/n, we gotta go," Craig said with a stern expression, he was looking past me at something that was behind me. I turned around to see what he was looking at and there I saw that one warrior who attacked us, Clyde.

I stayed where I was in terror, I didn't want him to take me away, not now not ever.

Craig grabbed my hand before I could turn my head back around to look at him and pulled me away from the table and somewhere away from Clyde.

"Where are we going?" I said loudly as we ran to go somewhere safe.

Craig didn't respond. He just kept his hand in mine as we continued running to safety.

We slipped into a dark alleyway, running all the way towards the back of the alley, letting the dark cloak us so we can hide.

A single tear ran down my face in fear, I was, once again, scared for my life.

I stayed close to Craig, I felt safe when I was with him, he would protect me I hope.

Finally, an idea struck me.

"Use the stick," I said quietly to Craig, trying not to draw attention to the alley we're in.

I felt Craig move then suddenly tense up.

"The stick is at the inn," Craig said quietly to me which caused my body to tense up and my heart to pound so very quickly.

Now I began to lose faith in our escape. Unless we stay in this alley forever but I doubt that'll be what will happen.

"Stay here," Craig said softly, letting go of my hand and moving his way towards the opening of the alleyway.

I began to worry, I don't want to be left alone again. I reached out my hand and ran towards Craig to grab his hand which I successfully did.

Craig stopped in his tracks, turning around to face me, moonlight showered on his face which brought out his features making him more so attractive.

"Please... Don't leave me." I say through sobs as I finally let the tears come rolling down my face.

Craig's usual emotionless face soften at the sight of my messy appearance.

He yanked me close to him, holding me close to him. He placed his hand on the back of my head, stroking my hair in a way of trying to comfort me which he succeeded.

I cried softly into his chest as I brought my arms around him, hugging him as he did to me.

Many minutes later I finished crying, finally calming down. I let go of Craig, backing away from him slowly.

"Are we going to go or what?" Craig held out his hand for me to grab which I did and we began to run towards the inn while trying not to draw attention to ourselves in case Clyde was still out there.
