*Colby Brock, (y/n), no sex*

"Colbyyyy!" (Y/N) screamed as she threw Colby's door open. She turned on the tv and threw the remote on the couch. She opened up Colby's fridge door, grabbed a few leftovers, heated them up, and put them on the table, she set them at the front of the couch. "You better not be jacking off!" She joked.

She walked into Colby's room to find him doing exactly that. She screamed and slammed the door closed before bursting out laughing. She fell to the ground from laughing so hard.

A few seconds later a red-faced Colby came out. "Shut up." He growled before going to the couch and grabbing some food. He changed the channel to the one they both wanted to watch and waited for (y/n) to be done laughing.

Soon enough she was done, she wiped away fake tears and Colby rolled his eyes. "that was the funniest thing of my whole entire day," Colby glared at her, "that was embarrassing," he groaned. He put his face into a pillow as (y/n) started laughing again.

An hour later (y/n) groaned and turned off the tv, "hey!" Colby whined, "I'm bored!" (Y/n) poked Colby's shoulder. "Well then let's do something," Colby said, "see this is why we are friends," (y/n) smiled.

They put the dishes in the sink and started thinking about things to do.

"We've done it all already!" (Y/n) groaned, "egged every house on Corey's street including his, ding dong ditched almost every single door in this apartment, and Oh! I know!! Let's make a place in the mountains!" Her words came out confusing and weird but Colby, being her best friend, knew exactly what she meant.

Without a word they grabbed their phones, wallets, Colby grabbed his keys, and they ran to his car.

They made the quickest trip to target. They grabbed two hammocks, blankets, fairy lights, pillows, and some beers.

Colby parked his car by the side of the road and they hauled their stuff up. After what seemed about an hour they found the perfect spot.

They sat there in hammocks till it was midnight. Completely awake while (y/n) slowly got more and more and drunk.

(Y/N) got out of the hammock, put on some music, and starting dancing around. At first, Colby thought it was funny and couldn't stop laughing, till he noticed she was getting closer and close to the edge.

He raced to (y/n) before anything could happen and pulled her back to her hammock.

She rolled her eyes, "coward," she giggled, "I am not!" Colby scoffed, "oh yeah?" (Y/n) teased, she leaned to his ear which made Colby widened his eyes, "why don't you prove it," she smirked at him.

Before he could say anything he was pulled into her hammock. Their lips were barely apart. Colby's heart was beating fast and confusing feels were running through him but suddenly it all washed away.

He felt her lips on his and it took all of him not to moan from that. He didn't know that the girl in front of him could have this effect on him. He felt so comfortable at this moment like everything was perfect.

Slowly the taste of beer slipped from her mouth to his and he pulled away. His head hung down at her chest as he sighed, "your drunk," he whispered.

"Yup!" She giggled before yawning, "and tired," she mumbled. It's like she just forgot everything that happened.

Before Colby knew it she was asleep and he was up all night. The sunlight changed and he just sat there staring at the ground.

He sat there not moving until he heard a small groan beside him, then a yawn, then the hammock moving, "Hey statue, what's wrong?" (Y/n) whispered, "do you remember anything from last night?" she shook her head. Colby sighed, "why?" She asked as she slowly got up to grab the aspirin from the bag, "you just did some dumb stuff," Colby played it off like a joke.

It worked because she stoped asking but the whole ride back Colby's thoughts were spinning.

"okay what is wrong??" (Y/n) asked when the car was parked in front of her apartment complex, "huh? Nothing just the hangover," she gave him and eyebrow, "I swear!" (Y/n) sighed and got out. She opened the back of the trunk, grabbed her stuff, waved goodbye, and walked inside.

When Colby got back to his place he felt so weird and uncomfortable. This was the first time he had not told (y/n) something and it bothered him. He didn't know why he couldn't just ask or even talk about it.

He dropped his keys on the counter and took his shoes off.

(Y/n): hey I'm not sure if it's the hangover or not but I'm feeling weird right now, text me when you can and talk to me, k?
(Y/n): sorry just wanna make sure you're okay
(Y/n): also I've been blowing off my roommate for you so I've gotta hang out with her either tonight or tomorrow, you choose so I know when to see you

He put the phone down and left the texts unanswered. Colby wanted to figure this all out but he didn't know how.

They were drunk and she had no idea what she was doing. But they'd been drunk before without anything like that happening. It was just a stupid kiss. But she'd never made a move like that. We didn't like each other in that way. At least Colby thought they didn't.

Colby couldn't stand it anymore. He grabbed his phone.

Colby: you kissed me.

The bubbles appeared, then they were gone, then they appeared again.

(Y/n): I don't know how I'm supposed to respond to that.

Colby frowned but no one said anything else.

That's how it was for days, until those days turned into weeks.

Colby heard three knocks on his door and slowly got up to open it. "H-Hey!" Colby opened the door so (y/n) could walk in.

"I liked you. Or I still do but I'm trying not to. Because I don't want to lose you which I feel is happening. And I was so so good about hiding it. You're my best friend so I'm not going to let you go so easily because I care to damn much about y-"

(Y/n) gasped as Colby pulled away, "why'd you do that..?" She whispered, Colby chuckled, "because in those weeks of hell from not talking to you, I figured out I liked you. A lot. There's no one I connect to more then you and I want to see where this goes. I don't want to ruin anything but goddamn (y/n) you do things to me that I didn't know were possible!"

(Y/n)'s whole face brighten and she jumped onto Colby hugging him, then kissing him.

"Colbs?" She mumbled as they pulled away, "yeah..?" Colby's eyes stayed on her lips then were now in a small frown, "I don't want to lose  you," (y/n)'s voice was soft but she sounded so scared.

Colby's eyes snapped to hers, "you won't. I don't fucking care what happens. You. Won't. Lose. Me." And just like that (y/n) trusted him.

Colby started kissing all around her. Her lips, her forehead, her cheeks, her neck. (Y/n) giggled and Colby smiled at the happiness that sound brought him.

"I'm so happy I finally found these feelings," Colby's forehead touched (y/n)'s, "so am I," she smiled at him and he smiled back.
