I found myself gathering all my courage and racing away, clambering down the emergency fire escape alongside the building. I slid down the railing, my eyes watering from adrenaline, my blood rushing. I felt this fear wash over me.
I tried my hardest to try and get as far away as I could. So, eventually, I found myself in what I could describe as a rundown, muddy, disgusting park. The trees were growing rapidly, as if shooting out in random directions. There were vines strung everywhere. The trees had large, dark red and bright yellow flowers. For some reason I knew not to walk too close to the flowers. I noticed another person, and clambered up into a tree. That metallic thudding started getting quieter, and suddenly it sounded like it was right next to me. The flowers seemed to turn towards me. I tore off a piece of my shirt and covered my mouth and nose, making a bandana.
The flowers seemed to release a drowsy feeling with their pollen. I felt my skin burn from the pollen and quickly clung to the bark, biting my tongue softly to keep from screaming. The sound of the creature got louder and louder, as if bouncing around my skull. I felt like I was going insane. My body was shaking, my arms and barren stomach were burning, my eyes were watering.
I opened my eyes to look around, I found myself looking around quickly, tears trailing down my face as I noticed the large, almost transparent body before me. It was standing next to the tree I was in. It's back almost dangerously close to my legs. It seemed to be waiting. Its neck had rolls of flesh, and its head was wide, and had a point at the end of its snout that could easily skewer a man on the end.
Suddenly a gunshot sounded, meaning someone had died. Most likely the person I had wounded earlier, this sound made the monster head in the direction.
