Sophie's POV

Today I decided on hanging out with Aly at the mall before Drew and his family had to come over for dinner.

"Do you think I should wear the red velvet dress or the yellow sequined dress to homecoming?" Aly held both dresses up to show me.

"I think red would go more with this year's homecoming theme. Yellow is more of a spring color." I tell her and she nods in agreement.

"Have you decided who you're going with?" Aly shouts from inside the dressing room.

"I think Drew and I are just going to rent some movies that night." I shrug which she can't see.

"But you guys went together last year!" She shrieked which earned me stares from customers shopping.

"It's different now. Don't you think it's a little weird to go to homecoming with somebody who you're just friends with?" I ask her already knowing her answer.

"No, Josh and I went together in 9th grade. You overthink too much. Besides, you guys should go to homecoming. There's going to be an after party at Emily Garcia's house and there will be drinking which means everyone will forget that you even went to that dance with your best friend." Aly tells me, her logic clearly being off.

"I'll think about it." I say which means I won't think about it.

"Does this look good on me?" Aly steps out of the dressing room with her short red velvet dress on.

"You look smokin'." I gush at how amazing she looks.

"Shut up. You would look hotter." She compliments.

"Lies!" I rush over and hug her.

"I forgot to ask. How was work last night with Jacob and Lexi?" She heads back in the dressing room to get changed.

"They ignored us the whole night. Mindy made them stay away from Drew and I." I tell her.

"I'm surprised." She says coming out of the dressing room.

"Me too."

Aly and I pay for her dress and walk towards the food court.

"Have you ever thought about screwing your best friend?" I wonder aloud to Alyssa.

"Soph, are you high?" She stops walking and puts both hands on my shoulders.

"Drew brought that up to me last night." I immediately tell her.

"Okay, the question is, is he high?" She takes her hands off of my shoulders.

"Maybe the question is, have we all thought about it at some point or another?" I wonder again.

"No way! I've never once thought about screwi-" Aly stops.

I raise an eyebrow at her.

"Okay! Stop grilling me with that look. I thought about screwing Josh a few times but never ever have I thought about fucking Andrew!" She says defensively.

"So Drew was right. Everyone thinks about it." Aly nods.

"Didn't you like have the biggest crush on Drew in 9th grade?" Aly coos.

"I thought that we agreed to never talk about that." I say through gritted teeth.

"Aww, you're blushing!" She makes fun of me.

"Shut up. Don't pretend like you've never liked Josh." I roll my eyes at her, getting in line at Moe's.

I'm really craving tacos.
