It had been a week since Dollie had learnt to walk and now she was all over the place, at first it was fun but now the novelty had worn off and Dianne and I were tired of having to chase her, it seemed impossible to catch her and now going out seemed 10 times more of chore because she now refused to go in her push chair or be carried but she also refused to hold anyone's hand so every time we went out Dianne and I would constantly be pulling her back from roads of grabbing her to stop her from running off to far.
"joe why don't we get one of these"? Dianne asked as she showed me a picture of some toddler reins.

they seemed like the perfect thing.
"yes buy them" I said eagerly
my gosh, someone's an eager beaver" said Dianne with a chuckle whilst she was ordering the reins
"well Dianne can you blame me for being excited these reins seem like the answer to all of our problems so we need them like now" I said with a smile. "I guess your right" she replied just after that Dollie started crying. "Sounds like someone's awake are you ready for another round of catch Dollie" I Said with a chuckle as I made my way upstairs. "I'll start warming up" Dianne shouted as I was going up the stairs. I then went into Dollie's room, she was waiting eagerly for me to lift her out, at least that was one thing I didn't have to worry about her climbing out of her cot. I lifted her out of cot and placed her on the floor, she immediately ran to her door and waited for me to open it as she wasn't tall enough to reach the handle yet, that was another thing that I didn't have to worry about for now. I opened the door for her and she immediately began running towards the stairs. "Ah no no no" I Said Grabbing her, she began crying, it would be fine if I had a gate on the stairs but I couldn't get one fitted due to the type of stairs that I had. Once we had gotten down the stairs I put Dollie down she ran straight into the living room where all of her toys were. "Dianne"? I said as I went into the living room "Yeah" she said "Can we talk"? I asked her.
