Chapter 4: The Message

The next morning...

Felicity woke up early that day and after emailing her leave for the day to cat grant she went to kara's loft so that she can go to the bunker and finish the work.

Felicity rang the bell, and Mon-el attended the door;
"Hey Felicity, Good morning" Mon-el greeted felicity
"Mon-el, Good morning to you too." felicity greeted back with a smile
"where's kara??" she asked further and a voice behind mon-el, which was of kara answered
"Oh, I'm here fefe.. come in..." 

"Hey Kara, I took off today from Catco. I'm going to the bunker, I gotta finish Oliver's work.. you coming??" Felicity asked Kara
"Oh, okay. sure. but I gotta submit my article and give some reason to Cat of my day off today" Kara replied 
"Sure, okay.. well then. I'll see you on Earth-2" Felicity replied with a smile and Kara replied, "see ya..." as Felicity left kara's loft

"Hey babe, can I come with you too??" Mon-el asked Kara, grabbing her waist and pulling her closer
"Mon-el...I'm--" Kara muttered 
"Please kara.. please..." mon-el begin
"I am so bored with the work at DEO... going on earth-2 will be fun" Mon-el further added
"Umm... Mon-el babe, we are going there for work reason. I told you last night how big this is..." Kara replied by putting his arms around mon-el's neck

"I know kara. Please... I promise you, I won't irritate anyone of you" mon-el pleaded 
"Okay.. okay..." Kara begin
"But, before let me finish my work at Catco, and then I will see you at the DEO, I have to inform Alex that I'm off or she will get worried unnecessarily.." Kara added further.
"Okay. sure.." Mon-el said softly before he placed a soft kiss on kara's lips
"Well, I gotta go now..." Kara said breaking the kiss
"Bye babe" she added giving mon-el a quick kiss on his lips before she left the loft

Meanwhile, ON EARTH-X

Felicity arrived on Earth X and saw Oliver working out, shirtless on the salmon ladder; she stood there and kept admiring at him until Oliver noticed her.

"Hi Felicity," Oliver said jumping down from the salmon ladder and grabbing the t-shirt and walking to her, which made felicity nervous
"Hi. Oliver. Sorry, I didn't mean to admire you" felicity quickly said 
"Oh I wish, I didn't say the word admire" felicity added with a crinkle, 
"it's okay," Oliver said looking at Felicity
"you are alone here? where is kara??" Oliver questioned felicity
"Oh she has little work at Catco, she will be here as soon as she finishes the work there" Felicity replied by pulling the chair next to the computer 
"And I took leave too" She added as she placed the coffee cup on the table
"Oh Okay," Oliver said  by pulling over the t-shirt which he was holding in his hands

"Umm. Oliver, I need little time and this will be done, meanwhile, you can do something.. anything else" Felicity said, as she noticed Oliver standing behind her 
"Okay. I'll just go to my Queen's consolidated and be back soon" Oliver replied to Felicity
"Okay. sure" Felicity replied to Oliver, and Oliver placed a hand on her back and said, "are you gonna be okay alone here?" 
"yeah.. yeah... Oliver, I'll be good" Felicity said with a smile, and Oliver left the bunker grabbing his jacket, leaving Felicity all alone in the bunker

Felicity really worked hard and was finally able to crack the message after a few hours. She dropped a text to Oliver about it, meanwhile, she waited in the bunker, updating the systems and fixing things; until Oliver walked in the bunker along with John.

"Felicity..." Oliver said approaching to her 
"Yeah, let me show you..." Felicity said by pulling the chair across and opening the encrypted message and Oliver sat next to her, watching it, with Diggle behind their back.

the message followed:
"Hi Oliver, I am not sure if you are able to hear me properly, I am here in the temporal zone, I can't get to you right now. but I hope you will get my message. today when we were on our mission, we came across a news about an Invasion, or attack on earth 1 by outsiders is going to take place. when? we have no idea. as time here is tricky. But I am telling you this so that you along with Kara and Barry can stay prepared. I hope you hear m--mee..." 

and the message concluded. 

"We gotta inform about this to Kara..." Oliver said, just before Kara  and Mon-el walked through the portal
"looks like I'm right on time,"  Kara said as she walked out, and Mon-el following her 
"Wow! this place is so cool.," Mon-el said in excitement
"Sorry Oliver, I had little work at Catco," she said walking to Oliver
"Kara, you gotta watch this..." Oliver said and he replayed the video message to kara again

"Wow! this is...." Kara sighed
"We gotta inform about this to Director j'onzz" she added further
"I feel the same..." Oliver replied 
"let's go to my earth than," Kara said walking away down and clicking the button on the interdimensional extrapolator, and a portal opened and Oliver and kara, followed by Felicity, Johna and Mon-el walked into the portal and approached to earth-38, Kara's earth.

"Mon-el, take Oliver, John, and wait for us at the conference room, I'll get Alex and Director j'onzz," Kara said pointing the room across them
"and I'll get my laptop," Felicity said, and they both walked in the opposite directions

Kara explained the whole situation to Director j'onzz and calling them upstairs, she showed the whole message video to him and Alex.

"Kara, this is huge" Director j'onzz said as he concluded with the message
"I know j'onn... I wished we knew when.." Kara said biting her lower lip in worry and nervousness
"Hey Kara, at least we know where. and whenever it will be, we will be ready" Alex said firmly by placing a hand on Kara's shoulder 

"Kara, relax!" J'onn said placing her hand on Kara, who looked a bit too worried
"We are gonna stop it" He added further
"I know J'onn, it's just...." Kara sighed
"its just that whenever there is an invasion or alien attack, I always blame myself... " 
She added further
"Kara, its gonna be fine. well I gotta go for some important work" Director j'onzz said checking his phone
"Alex, follow me.." he said further looking at Alex
"Kara, Sorry... duty calls. I'll be back.. see you later."  Alex said with a little disappointment and kara nodded before j'onn walked out of the room, leaving Kara standing alone

"Kara, relax. it's not your fault." Oliver said walking to kara
"in that case, rising crimes in Star City shouldn't be my fault??" Oliver said trying to comfort kara
"Oliver... you are... a hero... being human. I'm an.." Kara said in disappointment
"Kara, it doesn't matter what we are.. whether humans or aliens or meta's... we all are heroes. in our own ways. and these people.. they take you as their savior..." Oliver said placing his hand on her shoulder
"Thanks, Oliver," Kara said giving a faded smile
"and I want to give u a hug," Kara said humorously 
"Ahh... bad idea... I am not a--" Oliver begin but Kara said cutting him out, "yeah yeah I know.. not a good hugger kinds stuff..."
"but I bet you, someday you will love hugs," Kara said punching him softly on his chest
"Well... I am not so sure about that" Oliver said rolling his eyes 

"Ummm. Kara, we are going for lunch, I already texted Alex, you two wanna join? Felicity said from behind
"Sure," Kara said, "I'm really hungry"
"Umm.. Kara, I should better go... to my earth.." Oliver said in disagreement 
"Oliver, it's okay to stay on my earth for one day... there are humans on my earth too," Kara said putting an arm around Olivers' shoulder
"Kara... I didn't mean that--" Oliver said 
"So come on.. let's go..." Kara said dragging Oliver 
"and you are staying here today the whole day... it's better you take a day off with us" kara further said, before she joined Mon-el, Felicity and John and headed to the elevator
