Chapter 5: Hanging out together

Later that day

After Lunch, the whole gang accept Diggle, hanged out together. Going for a movie and then spending some time at Jitters, where Barry joined them; and finally Dining together on the rooftop of Kara's apartment; where they had set chairs and a table so that they can sit together and dine.

"Ahh... today was a good day" Kara, sitting next to Mon-el, sighed.
"Yeah, it was indeed" Oliver replied with a fine smile
"I hope we are not doing something wrong.." Kara added,
"what do you mean?" Barry, who was next to Oliver replied.
"I mean look at us, the whole world is at risk of something we are not sure of and the world's mightiest heroes are hanging out here as if nothing is bothering us" Kara replied with sadness
"Hey Kara, it's fine..." Barry replied, Comforting kara
"No, it's not. we should be planning something to stop it. I mean what if it happens tonight" Kara furiously replied 
"Kara, then we will fight back!" Alex said sitting next to Kara's other side, with a glass of wine
"You gotta relax babe!" mon-el said kissing kara above her ear.
"at least listen to your boyfriend kara!" Felicity humorously said

"so, what shall we do next...??" barry begin
"what about we all go clubbing...??" Barry continued after a quick pause,
"I mean, it's rare that we all gather together" 

"Umm.. I'm don't think it's a good idea. I'm done with the party's" Oliver replied with a nod
"me too" Mon-el said raising his hand 
"Oh wow really guys, what happened to the billionaire playboy and Daxamite fart boy," Barry said 
"Barry, that was me before Lian yu... that party life, dating women.. everything is long gone... it's like I grew up now" Oliver replied with a sigh

"So you were fart boy too??" Mon-el asked looking at Oliver and Oliver nodded, "well..."
"I was one too when I was in Daxam, my life was full of parties and... I was never serious about anything until I met Kara.." Mon-el added further
"So, what am I suppose to say?" Barry said with a pout
"Shut up Barry, you were in love with Iris since you were 10!" Kara said adding some humor to the situation
"Hey kara.. that's not fair" barry angrily said
"Everything is fair.. come on Bar, these are all friends here" Kara replied with a laugh, and further added, "Ahemm.Guys..." Kara said clearing her throat and raising her glass of wine

Kara begin, "Let me raise a toast to us all, to Superfriends, to the family... and to the worlds mightiest heroes"

"and also to us, ex- fart boys!" Mon-el said raising his bottle of beer, looking at Oliver who was sitting parallel to him
"to ex-frat boys!!" Oliver said raising his bottle, and all started to laugh, as they sipped their glasses.

"Hmm. I'm going to get another bother, anyone needs more??" Mon-el said
"No. we are fine Mon-el," Felicity said with a smile
"Felicity, seriously?? you are sitting with that half glass of wine this whole evening and saying that?? wait. I'm gonna get you some more" Mon-el said before he walked to the booze table, and felicity nodded

"Oh yes, she never drinks," Kara said loudly 
"Sorry guys. it's just. I'm not into drinks" Felicity replied with a smile, sipping the wine in her glass, and Oliver just stared at her with a silent smile
"Guys, excuse me, I got to go, J'onn called me..." Alex said looking at her phone
"Oh, don't worry nothing urgent, just some DEO stuff, kara," Alex added further looking at Kara's anxious face
"Oh okay, see you then" Kara replied and Alex waved at her before she walked out

"Hey Kara, I don't understand one thing" Oliver begin, looking at kara
"What's that?" Kara replied
"how you even cope up with Mon-el? No offense; but he is so annoying most of the time. this whole day I've noticed him, he is like a kid.." Oliver continued
"I know. that's the thing I like most about him. One minute if he is silent and I panic thinking what's wrong with him.." Kara begin with a smile, and Oliver nodded
"Don't worry Oliver, once you find that person whom you love, you will understand me" she added with a soft pat on Oliver's shoulder 
Felicity, who was sitting on the opposite of them, and listening to their conversation replied, "that's when you will feel the real love, and you will start seeing that person with love, even through their flaws"
"well, I don't think I even deserve love to be honest" Oliver muttered 
"Hey, everyone deserves love.. that includes you too," Felicity said finishing sipping off the last of the wine in her glass; and standing from her chair she added,
"Excuse me, guys... I'll be back"
"Sure," Kara said, and her phone buzzed, checking her phone she said;
"Oh no!" 
"What happen, babe?" Mon-el questioned looking at kara's anxiousness
"Bank robbery" kara firmly said, "Multiple places"
"Mon-el, we gotta hit the road" Kara further said,
"hey, kara, can I join too..??" Barry asked excitingly
"Oh well, I wished I could say no, but we could use your help right now!" Kara replied standing up
"Perfect, I'll get my bow than.," Oliver said placing the bottle on the table and attempting to stand
"Ollie, Umm. The national city isn't very familiar with vigilantes, you know that. and plus, I, Mon-el and Barry can handle it" Kara said in disappointment "really sorry Ollie"
"oh no problem, I get that!" Oliver said with a faded smile
"you go... I'm good.." he added further, just before Kara flew away ripping her clothes off, in her Supergirl suit, and looking at that Oliver said to Felicity, who was walking towards him
"Doesn't she feel hot??" 
"I don't think that. her suit is some kinda.. made with some fiber which helps her to adapt " Felicity said standing next to Oliver 

"Hey, do yo--you wanna... go for a walk??" Felicity asked in hesitation, thinking what might Oliver think, "I mean, we both are only left here, so... "
"Sure," Oliver said standing out from his chair
and they both headed down and begin to walk.

Both walked a half mile without saying a word to each other; as they barely knew each other and were never together this casually alone.
"Hey, Felicity.. you good??" Oliver said breaking the ice
"what do you mean?" Felicity replied back
"I mean you didn't say a word since we begin the walk, and I know you are not the person that keeps quiet" Oliver explained felicity 
"Oh well. I mean, yeah. I mean we barely know each other and me talking and babbling all the time annoys people, so..." Felicity replied
"Well, that's not right!" Oliver said in denial, and felicity nodded 
"Hey, I appreciate you were concerned about me last night," Oliver said looking at Felicity 
"Well, you are kara's best friend, I mean she and you are so close, and now that I know you, that makes you my friend too." and looking at Oliver she said further,
"I assume.. at least"
"of course we are," Oliver replied, with a smile at the end, which was noticed by Felicity, 
"What happen? why are you smiling?" she asked 
"Nothing, it's just. it's hard for me to keep people in my life without hurting them" Oliver replied
"what do you mean by without hurting them?" felicity curiously asked 
"It's just that the people I stay close, they just get hurt.. or even worse... they...Die!" Oliver explained, with hesitation on the last part
Felicity stopped and looking at Oliver, she said; "And you think if you accepting me as your friend will put in danger too??" 
Oliver didn't say anything but he nodded in disappointment
"Oliver.," Felicity said grabbing his hand into hers
"When I joined Kara, in this DEO thing, or whatever, I accepted the fact that my life is gonna be in danger, and that's not stopping me from helping her. or you or anyone." felicity begin
"We all are gonna die in some way or other, someday! and I'm not afraid.. the best part is that I wanna make a change, take a chance, be an example to the weak... that's what kara taught me, taught us all." taking a deep breath, she added,
"So, I don't think you should be worried about us becoming friends" 

"I just want you to be safe" Oliver replied by looking down.
"I am safe. Oliver" Felicity said with a smile,
"and you should stop thinking like that," she said rubbing his hand palm.
"Things change Oliver, and whatever is with you, or happened with you will change too. you just need that ray of sunshine"
Oliver exhaled and said, "Maybe, but its all gonna need little time... I guess"

"Okay. be that as a may.." Felicity replied with a smile, and taking a deep breath, she added; "Can we be just less sad now and do something nice?"
"Okay," Oliver nodded, "and what you wanna do?" he questioned, further trying to learn what Felicity would like
"come with me..." Felicity said walking towards a park, which was on the side of the road
"okay, and why are we doing in the park?" Oliver curiously asked.
"you are an archer right?" Felicity begin 
"Aha.." Oliver added, 
"so, let's do some archery..."  Felicity said as she walked through the behind gates of the park
"now?? won't it be closed? and I'm sure the guards won't let us in" Oliver said in surprise
"that's why we are going through behind gates" Felicity said as he kept walking, and taking her phone out she further said;  
"and you don't have to worry when you have a hacker with you,"  Felicity did something with the phone and that turned the security camera's
"Impressive!" Oliver shouted, which made felicity blush
"Thanks. now come in quickly before these camera's turn on again" Felicity said walking inside and Oliver followed her 

They walked to the archery, where Oliver shot the bows in the target and felicity sitting and watching him; cheered him, by clapping 

"Come on, now you try!" Oliver said 
"Woah...woah!! Me??" Felicity said in shock
"Yes you.. come here," Oliver said calling over felicity 
"No that's not a good idea. I mean, I don't even know to use a gun" Felicity replied 
"Come. I'll teach you" Oliver said holding felicity and pulling her in front of the target 
"Oliver, this is a bad idea! a very very bad idea!!" Felicity shouted
"I don't think so" Oliver begins, and giving the bow in felicity's hand, he added,
"take this...."
"Hmm. I have no idea how to use this thing," Felicity said looking at the bow, trying to figure out how to use it.
Oliver holding his hand over hers said; "May I??" and she replied;
"sure" and he put his arm around her holding her other hand, he thought her how to pull the bow and shot the arrow.
"Oh my God. that was exciting" felicity shouted in excitment 
"Now, why don't you try...?" Oliver said leaving the bow in her hand and walking at the side
"Okay. let me try" Felicity said fixing the arrow in the bow and pointing at the target, and hitting it.

"See, I told you, that you will do it," Oliver said with a smile 
"yeah. I did it." felicity smiled back, and added "I had a good teacher" to which Oliver nodded with a smile
"Oliver, it's really late and I gotta go..." Felicity said looking at the watch on her hand 
"Oh yeah, sure... " Oliver replied, "let me walk you back home"
"you wanna stay over..?? my place??" Felicity begin
"I mean sleeping in that junk, you can stay at my place tonight" 
"That's so nice of you. but I prefer going back to my earth" Oliver said denying felicity's offer 
"Okay. as you wish" Felicity said, and they started walking
"and Just for the records, I really had a great time with you," Felicity said stopping and turning towards Oliver
"Yeah. me too.." Oliver replied 
"and you are welcome over here anytime. this earth, my place is always open to you" felicity added as they begin walking again, and Oliver smiled with a nod
