"How was your graduation?" Kennedy asks me.

"It was fine. It was not fun going up on that stage though," I shudder remembering the time two days ago where I had to go up on a stage in front of at least 200 people.

"No, but you made it through," Kennedy smiles at me.

"I did."

"And this week you are going to Menorca?" She asks.

I nod, "We leave tomorrow."

"Ok. And to conclude today's session, how is your stomach?"

"It's fine, there's just a scar there now. To be completely honest, I thought I was going to die. I felt my own aura fade. In fact, I saw my own aura. Well, I didn't see it, it was more of a flash of colour, but so could tell. You know? Like, I just knew that that's what it was. Does that make sense?"

"That makes complete sense, Virgil," Kennedy replies, clicking her own closed, "So, I'll see you again in a couple of weeks?"

I nod and we shake hands before my counsellor leaves with her briefcase. I grab a glass of wine and pick up my phone. As I pick it up a notification comes up and I click on it.

I looked desperately in my wardrobe after putting my phone down. I'm having dinner with Roman's mum today. I've met her before, but this is more introduction as a boyfriend and, to be honest, I'm fucking terrified. I don't want to screw up. I probably will. Claudia's a human and at least 4 inches shorter than I am but I get the feeling she could actually be terrifying.

I take off my purple hoodie and my ripped t-shirt and stare at the pinkish scar on my stomach. The memory flashes through my head. That night was terrifying and painful. Damien's a real twat.

But anyway, I think Roman said Claudia booked dinner at a fancy restaurant so I probably need some form tuxedo. I find a purple button-down shirt and a black tie with a similar pattern to what's on my jumper and then find a black tuxedo jacket and trousers. Eye shadow or not? I always wear it and I'd feel weird not wearing it... Yeah, I'm going to keep it on; Maybe touch it up a little.

"I'm so glad you could join us tonight, Virgil," Claudia smiles as we take our seats.

"My pleasure," I say. Was that too formal? Probably. We sit down and order drinks.

"So what you plan on doing now that you've left school?" Claudia asks.

"Well, currently I do a night shift at the bank as a security guard, but I'd love to work with music, maybe editing or music therapy." I say.

"That sounds nice," She smiles and sips a bit of the wine that the waiter had just brought us.

"What do you do?" I ask, trying to find a way to make conversation.

"I'm actually theoretical physicist," She replies.

"Oh, really? That sounds interesting has a been busy in that field recently?" I ask

"There's been a few but nothing I'm involved in. I focus on quantum mechanics."

"Cool. I think Logan was thinking about going into science, he'd be really interested in this." I look at Roman who nods.

"Really? I'll have to talk to him at some point, then," Claudia says.

We have a lovely meal and Claudia tells me some embarrassing moments from Roman's childhood that leave him blushing and face palming. As we leave the building, Roman takes my hand.

"Thank you for coming tonight," He says, smiling at me.

"No problem, love," I say and lean up to kiss him. He kisses back then a camera flashes and we look to see Claudia with her phone taking a photo.

"I'm sorry. Y'all are cute; I had to take a picture." She shrugs sliding her phone in her pocket. Roman sighs and I laugh.

"Do you want to stay at my house over night?" Roman asks.

"I'd love to but I have to finish packing for the holiday." I sigh.

"Ok, yeah I probably should too," I kiss Roman goodbye and he gets into his mum's car.

"You look after my son next week," Claudia says when she hugs me and kisses my cheek.

"I will," I smile.

"Oh, please, I'll be taking care of him!" Roman calls out the window.

"Yeah, right," I grin back and he flips me off.

"It was nice to meet you properly tonight, Virgil," Claudia smiles.

"Likewise," I nod back. They drive off not long after and I walk back to my apartment to pack some last minute things, which is basically everything.
