"Mom! You don't understand!" I yelled at my mom in the kitchen.

"I understand completely, Luke. Your amazing friends? the fantastic influence? who are you trying to fool!" my mom yells back.

"What do you mean? Michael, and Calum are great. they're my friends mom. Just because they want me to be in a band doesn't mean they're bad influences and bad people!" I yelled back.

"Not another word! you listen her Luke." My mom said. "You are not to hang out with Michael or Calum. They're are turning you into a bad person in society. You're just a boy who wants to become a teacher. You're going to follow in your mom footsteps is that clear?you're being teacher, and not in a stupid band. Now, get out of my sight. You're grounded." My mom said. I nodded with tears in my eyes. "Yes mom." I murmured as I walk upstairs to my room.

How could she do that? I don't even want to be a teacher. I want to be in a band. Why does she think they're bad influences. They're my only friends. I'm in year 10, I can't just give up my only friends and make new ones in a day. I don't know what to do.

I grab my phone and quickly out of the house going to my car. I'm going to take a drive. Just to think.

I drive around my neighborhood, when I see a familiar figure.

"Cody, what are you doing?" I said rolling down my window, driving next to her.

"I'm running away." She said not looking at me.

"You're 15, not 8." I said smiling. She stopped walking and looked at me.

"Says the guy with a penguin shirt on." She smirked. I looked down at my shirt. I was in my pjs. I completely forgot.

"Get in." I said to her. She didn't even hesitate. She walked right up to my car and got in.

"So am I." I said after awhile.

"What?"

"I'm running away too."
