"Cody, where are you?"
"And I'm so sorry." I smirked through the phone. I heard Ashton groan at me. I can even see the eyes rolling.
"Cody, just tell me where you are."
"Why? because you can not sleep, or can not dream tonight?" I laughed at myself, knowing Ashton is getting pissed.
"Cobain Bean Baker, stop being such a little shit and tell me where you are! you haven't been at school." Shit school. Oh fuck it's Thursday.
"Shit Ashton." she groaned through the phone. "Ashton, I ran away. I know you know that and the Reasons are for my own, and I really do wanna see you, I do. But I'm with this guy and his band, and I can't really leave." I confessed.
"A guy? are you fucking him? Wait, why? wait how?" Ashton asked. Bunch of questions after that.
"Yes, his name is Luke, and no I'm not fucking him, or even dating him. I met him on Tuesday at the market, and he was running away too." I said to him pulling my hair back.
"I want to see you." He said sighing. I smiled quietly, God this boy. I don't even like him, he's just really, really is needy.
"Okay, fine. Met me at iHop in Greenville tomorrow at 3 pm, okay? I'm bring Luke, we are a package deal." I said sitting back down on the chair in Calum's house.
"Okay, see you then. Good bye you asshat."
"Goodbye you microwave."
"Nice comeback." and then I hung up.
--
"Luke, I got to talk to you." I say as we leave Calum's house. "Please don't tell me you're leaving me. That you give up running away." he stopped right away, and pulled on his beanie nervously. "Because if you did, I'll look silly telling Calum and Michael that I actually talk to girls." He laughed, and smiled at him stopping in my tracks, facing him.
"No , of course no Luke." I said shaking my head, cringing my eyebrows. (Wait can you do that?) "Luke, my friend Ashton wants to see me. I told him to meet me at iHop in Greenville at 3 pm tomorrow." said to him, pulling on my sweater. He smiled in relief, and nodding, "of course you can go Cody. But I have to come with you."
"I told him we are a package deal." I said smiling. I grabbed his hand with caution, unknowing if he's okay with it.
He smiled at me, grabbing my hand and gripping it tightly, as if I'll run away from him. i smile at him slightly, and he smiles back bigger, walking to his car.
"Luke!" someone yelled on the other side of the street. We both move our head quickly to the sound and pull apart our hands.
"Mom?" Luke yelled back unsure.
"Get here right now!" luke's mom demanded walking toward our car.
"Get in the car quickly," Luke said to me running towards to car.
"Luke, lock the doors she can't get in." I said calmly. Luke was shaking with nervousness. "Calm down, she won't be able to get you."
Luke started to drive out of Calum's driveway, as quickly as he could. "lucas!" His mom yelled faintly, but by the time she said that, we were already gone.
"That was close." Luke signed, relaxing.
"You should tell Calum or Michael that you guys should practice in calum's house anymore." I laughed. He nodded, with a slight smile on his face. "Okay, text Calum for me, and tell him that please." He said giving me his phone. I look at him with a questionable look. "No texting and driving." He winked.
To Calum 7:54 pm: I don't think we should practice at your house anymore
From Calum 7:55 pm: and why is that
to Calum 7:56 pm: my mom just found me and I ran away as quickly as I could
