I Dream Of You

Chapter Eighteen

A/N: This chapter is a bit on the shorter side, but the next chapter will be longer. ~Mekayla.

It was a week later and Cher knew she couldn't keep her pregnancy a secret any longer. She was going stir crazy sitting in the house almost all the time. She called out for Pauly, who was in the other room.

Pauly walked into the living room, "Yes, Cheralina?"

She said, "We have to tell people."

Confused, Pauly asked, "What are you talking about? Tell people what?"

She ran her hand over her stomach before she spoke, "About her, about the pregnancy. I feel like if I hide any longer I'll go crazy."

She nodded, "Okay. How do you want to tell people?"

She said, "I was thinking that we could put some of the original dates from the tour back and I could tell everyone during the concert."

Pauly said, "Before anything gets done, are you absolutely sure that you want to do this?"

She nodded, "Yes, I'm completely sure."

She nodded, smiling slightly, "Okay, I'll go make some calls and see what we can do."

A couple of days later on February 8th Cher, Pauly, and Andy were in Chicago for the concert. She was about to head out on stage when she turned her attention to Andy. She smiled and kissed him back as he kissed her lips. He smiled after breaking the kiss and looking at her. He said, "You'll do great tonight. I'll be out in the crowd where you can see me."

She smiled lightly, "I love you Andy."

He kissed her lips once more, "I love you too Cher."

She ran her hand down her stomach, leaving it resting there for a moment. She was already in the first costume of the night, all of which had been adjusted to accommodate her growing bump. She was a bit nervous about what the audience's reaction would be to the pregnancy, but she wasn't going to let that get in the way of having a great show.

She was about to sing the song Fernando, when she stopped. She said, "Andy is here with me tonight. I would like him to since this song with me."

There was some cheering from the crowd as Andy made his way up to the stage. After he made his way onto the stage, he was quickly prepared to sing the song. She smiled at him as the song started. The song went great after they sang it together. It sounded much like it did in the movie. After it had ended, he gave her a gentle kiss to the lips before exiting the stage.

A couple of songs later, as she was singing Walking In Memphis, she couldn't help but place her hand on her stomach as she felt their daughter kick. Cher didn't know why but their daughter really liked to move around to this song particular. After Walking In Memphis and The Shoop Shoop Song were over, she would normally head back to change again, but tonight was different. Tonight was the night she was telling the public by doing a second monologue.

She started to speak, "I normally wouldn't do a second monologue in the middle of the show, but I have something that I wanted to talk to you all about."

She paused, getting an encouraging smile from Andy before she continued, "The last five months of 2018 and the first two months of 2019 were a lot different than I would have ever expected them to be. Although, that was for the better and I would never change them for a second. Andy and I are back together after falling in love on the set of Mamma Mia and being separated. If you all haven't already noticed, there is something different about me."

She continued, "This was something I would have never expected, so to say the least it was very unexpected. I'm pregnant, I'm having a baby."

She ran her hand down her stomach after that was said and rested her hand there for a while. She saw the shocked expressions of the front room and assumed that the probably mirrored everyone else's. The shock soon faded, then she heard cheering and clapping from them. She smiled before she continued to talk, "I'm two days over twenty-seven weeks along and I'm due in early May. We're having a girl. Andy and I are very happy to have her."

She let out a laugh as she joked, "I just hope that she doesn't call me grandma."

With that being said, she went back and got changed for the next songs. The rest of the show went great and she couldn't be happier about it. People knew now and she no longer had to hide her pregnancy.

The next day when they were back in Malibu, Georganne had come over and they were outside by the pool. Cher, Andy, Pauly, and Georganne were all relaxing in each other's company.
