Chapter Twenty {Part One}

A/N: I wanted to apologize for such the long wait. I never intended the wait to be this long between chapters. I also want to thank Stephanievazq28 for writing some of this chapter that has been split into two parts. ~ Mekayla.

The next afternoon, Cher heard the doorbell ring. She got off the couch and made her way towards the door. She smiled when she saw who it was, it was exactly who she was expecting. She opened the door and said as she held her arms open, "Cyndi!"

Cyndi smiled and brought her friend in for a hug as she said, "Cher!"

They pulled away from the hug and she let her inside completely. Cher shut the door and turned her attention back to her. Cyndi looked down at her friend's growing bump before looking back at her, she said, "Bitch, and here I thought you were done with that."

Cher let out a laugh, "Bitch, I thought I was too."

Cyndi laughed before Cher began to speak again, "I'm trying to give Madge a run for her money."

They both laughed before they made their way towards the living room. Cher sitting down first before Cyndi followed suite right after, sitting down next to her. As she felt the kicks of her unborn daughter, she gently placed a hand on her stomach, rubbing small circles. She looked towards her and reached for Cyndi's hand. She smiled and said, "Feel this."

All she could do was smile as she felt the movement of the baby as Cher placed her hand down where she had just seen Cher's hand. She was no stranger to the kicks of an unborn baby, but she couldn't hide her amazement as she felt that feeling again. She looked up at Cher and said, "Did you know about her during the Kennedy Center Honors in December?"

Cher nodded and said, "Yes."

Before she could say anything, Cher continued, "I wanted to tell you, but I couldn't because Andy didn't even know himself yet. Only eight people knew at that point, nine if you include my doctor. And Reba, well she found out on her own while we were there."

Cyndi could see that she was starting to ramble a bit as she was explaining why she didn't tell her back in December. She cut her off, "Hey, it's alright. I'm not mad that you didn't tell me. I'm just glad that I know now."

She paused and let out a small laugh, "I'm just going to spoil her rotten. Everybody needs and Auntie Cyndi."

Days later, Andy woke up really excited and inspired. His muse was his true love and the mother of her unborn child. He had a lot planned for one special moment, he was going to finally ask her to marry him. Cher was really active that day but she, Pauly and Meryl were still in the house. Andy needed her out of the house so he could get everything ready. He saw the three women in the living room talking. Pauly was caressing Cher's belly while Meryl was singing to her trying to get the baby to kick.

"Oh easy baby girl" Cher giggled touching her belly once she felt her daughter kicking.

Andy went to them getting behind Cher "Hey girls" he said going down and kissing Cher on the lips.

"Hey babe" Cher said, the baby kicked again at the sound of Andy's voice "Our little girl knows that daddy's here" she smiled.

"Have you eaten yet?" Andy asked Cher, she shook her head no "well you haven't had anything else since breakfast"

"Let's get you a snack, come on" Meryl said, Cher whined but agreed. They all helped her out of the couch and started walking to the kitchen. Before Pauly could go any further, Andy stopped her.

"Paulette I need a big favor, it's a surprise so you can't tell Cher. You can tell Meryl so she can help-" he whispered.

"Andy, out with it" Pauly said.

"I need you to get Cher out of the house for a while. I want to surprise her when she comes here. I'm planning on proposing" Andy told her.

Paulette showed a wide smile before jumping up and down and clapping from the excitement, "Oh my God that is so romantic."

"Yes, but it's a surprise remember." Andy said

"I'll take her out shopping, don't worry. For how long?" Pauly said.

"As much as you can, all day if possible" Andy said.

"Perfect, Cher could be shopping all day" Pauly joked.

Meryl and Cher came back with their snacks in hands and saw them standing in the middle of the hall "there you are, we've wondered where you go" Cher said.

Pauly was about to speak but Andy cut in "I was just telling Pauly that you have been inside the house for a few days and it would be good if you went out together. It could be good for you" Andy said, Cher pulled a face.

"Come on Cheralina, we could go to the mall. You love shopping" Pauly said.

"To the mall??!!! Do you want to kill me? I'm pregnant" Cher exclaimed.

"The mall is perfect, walking is good for you. You know, it helps speed up the pregnancy" Meryl said.

Cher whined once again "Do I have to? What about you Andy?" She said to him.

"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine here. You girls go and have fun, you deserve it sweetheart" he said getting her closer to kiss her.

Cher groaned but gave in "Fine, help me get dressed guys" she said to Meryl and Pauly. They went to her room, got ready, said their goodbyes and went out.

Once they were gone, Andy started to take action. He made some calls, cleaned the backyard and got some romantic decorations to put outside. The front door opened and he got the flowers he ordered. Andy spread roses everywhere, also forming a path for Cher to walk through when she comes in. Torches were placed around since it was gonna be almost sunset when they get home. Andy wanted it to be big so Cher could feel it was serious. He looked at the clock, the girls would be home soon so Andy went to take a shower, and prepare for Cher's arrival.
