It seemed as nothing was going the three's way.

They had come to sudden discovery that they weren't normal humans, rather some creature they didn't even know existed. And apparently they also had certain abilities. This was too much to wrap their heads around already.

But to add on top, the only person they could trust and who's support and guidance they required more than ever, was no longer here.

He had vanished in thin air, as the three just sat there. The moon was upon them, shining ever so softly upon them almost as  to say condolences to the three devastated Asgarhs. Sitting in the middle of the ground, motionless.

Inside their hearts, they faced a turmoil of emotions, anger, hurt, sorrow, everything was too overpowering.

It seemed Leno achieved what he was going for, but even he didn't know what would happen after this. All he could cling onto was a strand of hope.

It was obvious the three needed time to heal from all this happening all together, but there wasn't much time left after all. And with anger fueling in their veins not much healing could be done.

It was almost like new found spirit or feeling, fueled by hurt and revenge.

Zayden and Griffin tried to let their father's death sink in, but were clearly struggling to accept this.

However, Razielle found herself in a complicated predicament; her heart ached with the loss of her Uncle who was more like a father to her. He had raised her, and loved her even through the hardest of times, even when he didn't need too.

He could've killed her for all he wanted, he had two sons already, but he never made her feel any less. He raised her like her boys, and she was thankful.

She knew that his death was not her fault, but deep down she knew all this chaos began due to her. She thought how different things would turn out if it wasn't for her.

But she was also aware that she couldn't do anything about it, and beating herself about his death wasn't the way Leno would've wanted if he were here. He would playfully glare at the girl and told her that she was stronger than this.

Unfortunately, he wasn't here to do any of that.

All the current events had finally caught up with her, and everything had hit her all at once like a truck. But she couldn't hop on that truck of misery and be regretful every passing day.

She knew, she needed to do more. If she was given this life, and this one shot to avenge all her nightmares, then she'd do it. No matter whatever it took.

So she stood in front a mirror, and looked herself in the eyes, mustering all the strength she had.

And she promised herself that she wouldn't let any of these sacrifices go to vain.

----------

Until the next morning, no words were spoken between the three. Griffin sat in the living room, waiting for the other two to join him.

He didn't get any sleep last night and he was also sure neither of the two got any sleep either as they rather their souls were more exhausted than their bodies.

The two brothers were certainly having a hard time coming to terms with this situation and felt as if they had lost everything and had nothing to fight for.

Razielle however felt exactly the opposite, and soon her new found spirit was about to clash with the sorrows of the other two.

"So, we're back to square one huh?" Griffin chuckled bitterly while looking at the two of them.

The death of a parent was never an easy subject to cope with, especially if you watched them vanish in front of your own eyes. And yet you couldn't do anything about it.

Griffin was feeling exactly the same, he was down and slumped it felt as he had been derailed of his track. The usually chirpy Zayden was certainly going through the same, as silence was observed from the one person who could never keep their mouth shut.

Razielle however, wasn't having any of this behavior, obviously they all were hurt, but sitting in here and lacking wasn't going to do them any benefit either.

It certainly wouldn't bring Leno back, but just because they couldn't alter the past, didn't mean they weren't in charge of how things were going to turn out in the future.

She had always believed, they were the creators of their own destiny.

"There's no such thing as square-one, we've made progress we aren't in the dark anymore, and using this knowledge we can capitalize on it." Razielle only tried to share her optimistic view and new found determination with her brothers to only receive a dejected response from Griffin,

"There's no capitalizing on anything Raze."

"Why not? So are we going to just sit here and mourn?"

"What else do you freaking want from us Razielle? Our father just died in front of our eyes. And you know what we did? Absolutely damn nothing. You want to capitalize then go do it yourself, because why'd you care about his death anyway?"

It seemed as Griffin's words pierced right through her heart, she had an urge to cry but she remained strong and placed on her poker face on.

Although, Griffin wasn't done yet as he stood up and towered over Razielle,

"You know what?"

Zayden was suddenly hyper-aware himself, as he stood up and tried to stop Griffin from saying anything he'd regret later on.

But he did it anyways.

"This is all because of you and your damn father, the Alpha right? It was all because of you all along, our lives were ruined and now? Our father is gone. But of course you and your stuck up self doesn't give a damn, just like your father after all huh."

As soon, as those words left Griffin's mouth, a horrified expression took over Zayden's face that tried to push him back and tried to grasp Razielle's hand who took a step back.

She stared at Griffin with an unreadable expression on her face.

She felt as deer caught in headlights as she could only stare at Griffin who seemed unaffected by his words, almost as if he had no idea was he himself was saying, or he didn't just care.

So she turned around, took her jacket from the couch and exited the house despite Zayden's pleadings for her to stay.

"Don't come after me."

Were her last words before she slammed the house door shut, and marched to God knows where.

The house furniture rattled with the force Razielle had slammed the door shut, as Griffin's said words still echoed and hung in the now dense air surrounding them.

And well, certainly this was not what Leno was suspecting to happen after he went away. Perhaps, almost no one was expecting this.

Except the demonic being himself.

Who was rather waiting for this house of cards to tumble down amongst the storm he was brewing.
