Chapter 4

Starfires POV (before the 2nd attack)

I felt terrible. As soon as everyone went to sleep(or so I thought), I snuck out of my room to get some fresh air. I quietly went to the roof to sit and think. I'm not sure if I should be a titan any longer. Whenever we go off to battle, it seems like my fellow teammates are always saving me. I always feel so gullible and useless. Right in the middle of my deep thinking, I heard the door leading to the rooftop slam open. I turned around to see who would possibly want to see me right now and of course it was Robin. I didn't want to see him at the moment because I felt bad and guilty. I tried to forget that he was there and tried to concentrate harder. When he asked if I was ok, it broke my heart. I should be asking him if he is ok! He is the one who constantly rescues and save me. I started to tear up. When he became eager to know and asked again, I could no longer stand it. I did not want to tell him the truth because he would pitty me. Then suddenly, Robin stood up very quickly. I was very confused until I turned around to see Slade. I stood up but before I could do anything, he shot me with some kind of ray before it knocked me off the side of the tower. I didn't fall unconsciously but tried to fly. My powers should have returned by now but I still could not fly. I plunged down and toward the water. I hit the water and attempted to swim but I also could not move. I watched as the dimmed light from the moon became less and less until I was no longer able to see. I needed air though. I could feel my lungs uncontrollably took in massive amounts of water. Then everything went black.

Robin's POV

I got to my feet and ran for the edge of the tower. I dove over the side of the tower and into the ocean. It was dark. I was unable to see anything around me. I knew this was going to be difficult. I went to the surface for a breath. I also sent a distress signal from my communicator to wake up the other titans and also allow the gems on Starfire's outfit to flash green and I would be able to find her. I dove back under and searched in the dark. I started to get tired since it was almost 2:00 in the morning. I was about to go back up for air before I saw the green flashes. Starfire! I swam towards the green flashes to get her. I found her arm and pulled on it. The rest of her body came up with that. Her face looked beautiful as always except paler and she was unconscious but now wasn't the time. She was drowning if not already barely hanging onto dear life. I had to hurry or I would be out of air. I swam up towards the surface and made it right before I blacked out. I dragged her onto the beach and crawled up the beach beside her before I collapsed and everything went black.
