Cyborg's POV
Bb and I were told by Robin that we needed to get to an abandoned factory to find Star. When I heard this news I knew we had to go fast. Who knows what Slade might do to the little lady...she is like a sister to me. She always finds a way to help out her friends and she never had any bad intentions. We got to the area and I checked my arm.
"I'm picking up a heartbeat," I tell the rest of the team.
"Good, let's get going," Robin quickly replied.
We ran to the building where the heartbeat was coming from. I blasted the door open with my sonic cannon and we ran it, ready to pounce.
"Party's over Slade," Robin sneered. But there was one small problem. There was only a factory worker there. We questioned why he was in an old run down factory and he simply explained that he was retrieving a certain chemical that the factory he worked at needed. Apparently, this was the original site of a company's factory but it was relocated a week or two ago.
"Darn it. We still haven't found him or Star."
I could tell Robin was getting more worried and aggravated with each passing second.
Robins POV
Where are they, where could he possibly be? After a while of thinking I figured it out where they might be. Since the video Slade sent us was in the factory that means he probably moved to a different location, that's stating the obvious. In the video, there was a mind controller that was stolen by the company. Slade wasn't smart enough to cover the logo of the company that made it. The company that made it was Wayne enterprise some go to that building and we should find them or at least a clue. I told my team and we headed there.
When we arrived and went inside Plasmus was there. He was wearing one of Slade's badges implying that he worked for him.
"Titans, Go!"
We fought him for a long time since he can split apart and easily regenerate because he is a blob of sewerage. Raven finally used her soul-self to go into the body of Plasmus and make him fall asleep so he would return to his harmless human form. In the sleeping man's hand, I found a tracker leading him straight to Slade. We finally knew where they were. We could defeat Slade and bring home Star. Maybe I'll tell her my feelings for her. We didn't want to take the chance of them moving to another area farther from where we were so we went straight there. It was about 8:00 PM so we were starting to get tired from the search and the fight with Plasmus. We got to the site and planned our ambush. I kicked down the door and saw Star just standing there next to Slade but it wasn't the same. She wasn't normal, she was probably still under slades mind control and her eyes were glowing like they do when she is angry and about to attack. I felt nervous. If she was going to attack, I wouldn't want to hurt her. She means everything to me. All I can let myself do is dodge and block her attacks. In a flash, she ran up to me and jumped to swing her leg and kick me in the face. I was knocked over and barely moved in time to dodge her attempting to punch my face with the added force of her falling. Her punch broke the concrete, she must've been using her super strength.
"Star, it's me, Robin. Your my best friend remember." I tried my hardest to make her remember so she could snap out of it. No matter how hard I tried... it wouldn't work. She wasn't stacking anyone else, just me. The others were trying to help but it was no use, she was out to destroy us. It was about 10:30 PM when she snuck up behind me after she punched me. I was tired and trying to keep fighting but I was too tired. She snuck up behind me and got my right arm. She painfully twisted it behind my back. I tried to break free but she was using her super strength it was useless. She grabbed my other arm and did the same. She put my hand up in cuffs that Slade created but these were no normal cuffs. He made sure u wouldn't be able to pick the lock with the gadgets in my gloves. Star picked me up and threw me up against a wall. I was on the ground when two short in length walls popped out of the ground connecting to the long back wall. I tried to get up but I was too weak. Then these blue bars connected the two short walls together. It created a cell. I got up and grabbed the bars and got shocked. Everything went black for about thirty seconds, then I woke up. The rest of the Titans had retreated to come up with a plan. There was a tiny opening toward the very top of the wall on my right but it only had normal bars. There was a concrete bench or bed that was in the right corner of the cell, right near the window. I stood up on the concrete bench and looked through the opening. There was another cell just like mine except reversed. I looked down on the bench and saw Star. I stood there and stared at her for about 4 minutes. She started to stir and opened her eyes. She could feel that someone was staring at her. Since she was o. Her back, all she had to do was look a little too far up and... she saw me. At first, she looked confused but then she got up and stood on the bench as I did. I was a little nervous because her eyes were no longer glowing like before but I wasn't sure if she was still under slades control. She came face to face with me and we just stared into each other's eyes. She then quietly said my name.
"Robin..."
"It's ok Star I'm he-,"
She reached between the bars and covered my mouth with her hand.
"Shh...if you talk too loudly Slade will punish us."
This got me worried. She would only know if she was punished for it. She looked down, she seemed like she was thinking back to something. I reached through the bars and took her cheek. I gently lifted her head.
"You ok?" I asked. She didn't answer back, she probably didn't want to think about it. She pulled away from my hand and jumped down from the bench. She walked to the corner of the cell where she couldn't be seen.
"Star, what's wrong?"
It took a while for her to answer. I could tell she was crying.
"This reminds me of the time before I came to earth. To save my planet from being destroyed, I was forced to be sold to the Gordanians. They tortured me and I was used for experiments. Before they could sell me as a slave, I escaped and came to earth and that is when we met. Being here reminds me of all the tortures of being held captive."
"I won't let Slade do anything to you. You've already been through so much."
My heart rate went up, I could feel it pounding. I was thinking of telling her about my feelings. Ok, Robin, ya gotta do this now or possibly never.
"Hey Star, I gotta tell you something... ever since the day, I met you... I've liked it."
"You are also my best friend Robin."
"Star I don't mean like that, I mean I love you like more than a friend."
"You do?"
"Yeah."
"Since the day I came to earth and met you I to had the feelings for you."
"C'mere Star." She walked over and stepped back up onto the concrete bench and came face to face with me again. We both leaned in. I went to kiss her but before I could she was yanked away from me. Slade held her in a headlock and put a cloth over her mouth. She passed out and dropped to the floor. I got down from the bench and backed into the corner. He came to my cell and slowly walked towards me. When he got about a foot from me, he punched me right in my gut. I slid down the wall to the floor. As he did to Star, he put a cloth over my face and I also passed out."
