"Shit." I cursed under my breath. I held onto my thigh to try and slow my rapid bleeding. I slung the blue briefcase onto my back again and continued running until I started seeing black spots in my vision. I had no choice but to call out for someone despite being behind enemy lines. "Medic!"
"Ja wol." A familiar voice rang behind me. I turned with a smile.
"My medic. Always there when I need you." But before I could respond to what I saw he hit me in the head with the butt of his syringe gun.
I woke up, strapped down to an operating table. I could hear voices so I decided to listen in.
"Mate. This is madness! You know what that red Medic is like." The BLU sniper.
"Ja Ja. But after the first battle when she joined, agh. I had to have her." The German doctor spoke.
"He'll come for her. You've got his Shiela. The bloke's crazier than you."
"I don't need your advice. I'm keeping the Fräulein."
"You gotta think this through. Are you gonna keep her strapped to that table for the rest of her life? You know as soon as you let her up she'll run." You know I'm starting to like this sniper. He's a voice of reason in this chaos.
"Then I'll have to do something about that." The medic spoke darkly. Ok. Now I'm worried.
I tried to wriggle free from my restraints and stopped as I saw the BLU medic walk in. "Ah. You're awake." He smiled coming over to my bedside. "Sorry about the head but I knew you wouldn't come easily." He spoke, gently caressing my cheek. I quickly turned my head and bit his hand. He quickly withdrew and wiped his now bleeding hand on his white coat. "Feisty little one aren't you? I see why my red counterpart wouldn't want to give you up." He smirked.
And so began a week of hell. I refused any food, I would drink, no point in dying is there? I wouldn't speak to anyone and particularly not the medic. I was so hungry though, the medic would always make sure to eat in his lab at the desk positioned next to the bed on which he kept me. He'd offer me food but I had to keep my nerve and turn away.
I had managed to drift off to sleep when I heard shouting and screaming from outside the lab. I pulled against the restraints but was pushed down by the BLU medic. "I hoped it wouldn't come to this." He stuck a needle in me and everything went black.
I woke up to my medic pulling the restraints free from my wrists. "He did... something to me." I mumbled. "Some kind of- of surgery."
"Don't worry Schatz. We can fix anything when I get you home." He helped me onto his back and went to walk out the door.
"I-I wouldn't do that." The BLU medic spoke hoarsely behind me. I turned my head to see a huge gash in his abdomen. "Surgically attached to an artery in her heart is a small detonator. If she sets a foot outside the perimeter of this base it will burst, sending a deadly poison coursing throughout her body. Killing her almost instantly." He smiled. "If I can't have her, no one can." His laugh was maniacal and sadistic, I hated him but I now cannot leave.
"Then I kill you and take it out." My medic smiled.
"No." I breathed. "You kill him and he'll respawn with full health. You have to keep him weak and alive."
"Fine. If you take her now. I'll keep coming to get her. I won't rest until I have her." His words terrified me. I'll have to live my life looking over my shoulder, constantly worried that I'll be taken by this psychopath.
"Es tut mir leid mein Liebling." My medic mumbled as I felt a sharp prick in my thigh. Then nothing.
I woke up again on a hospital bed in an infirmary unlike last time nothing was holding me down, except a hand holding onto mine. I still felt weak from not eating but managed to move my hand to rest atop the shoulder of my sleeping medic. He slowly sat up. "Liebling." He smiled. "I was afraid you wouldn't make it. The surgery had to be quick and crude." I went to touch my chest but bandages where in the way.
"How bad?" I asked.
"There'll be a large scar between the breasts but that's it." He shrugged. "You will have to stay in bed for a while though, heal normally for a while before I use the medigun."
"Have you at my every beck and call? Couldn't think of anything worse." I spoke sarcastically. "I suppose I'm confined to this bed though."
"What do you mean?"
"I can't sleep in a comfier bed like mine? Or yours?" I smirked.
"Look your injuries are far too severe for anything like that Liebling." He scolded.
"Medic! Get your head out of the gutter!" I laughed. "I thought nothing of the sort. I meant these hospital beds are exceedingly uncomfortable."
"Mein Schatz. It would be the first time you didn't have some kind of vaguely sexual thought." He teased.
"I know. Also when I am better it would be so much easier if I were already in your bed would it not?" I smirked. "Plus, I get cuddles if I stay with you now." I looked away sighing "What about HIM? He'll keep coming for me."
"Ja. But I am here."
"At the base yeh. During battles no. That's what got me into this. I don't blame you. Not at all. No I'm not going to stop fighting before you suggest it. You know i can't. I adore my job."
"Not if I end him. I'd never take you away from your fun." He grinned. "I'll just have to eliminate the other contributing factor to this issue then." His smile was sadistic in nature but he meant well, that's all I cared about. His methods of expressing his affection never bothered me, I knew how much he cared. If he says he'll deal with the opposing medic and bring me his head as a trophy that is what he'll do.-Jadieelynchx
