mark lee, also known as a reliable and best devil in the underworld for completing his missions perfectly, was now instructed to watch over a little donghyuck who is currently playing with his plushies.

he sighed in boredom and looked around the 4 year old's room, decorated with lots of pictures on the wall and small stars were found on the ceiling along with a few moons here and there.

the child's babysitter was sleeping at the couch after chugging down a few bottles of alcoholic drinks. seriously, who the fuck let's a woman like that babysit their child.

mark frowned and finds the vibe in his room annoying. sickening bright colors everywhere that the demon could think he was in heaven. and that's not okay.

minutes after, an idea came up that made his lips curve up to a  smirk. he thought, why not make things a little less boring? the child can't see him, well not until he's 18, so it can be no harm to do some things.. right?

he walked towards the younger, snatching one medium sized plushie that fell on the floor on his way then stood at the back of the baby, taking a glance at the plushie before throwing it onto donghyuck who flinched and turned around to see his plushie floating.

the 4 year old widened his eyes and screamed in horror as he jumped off his bed, heading to the corner of his room. he faced the floating object and pointed at it. "bad spirit! away! away!"

the demon couldn't help it but to break into a fit of laughter, watching the kid who was crying but at the same time being brave enough to point at the plushie and shoo the 'bad spirit' away.

he lost control of the object, causing it to fall on the ground. but little donghyuck closed his eyes and prayed for his guardian angel to appear and help him with the bad spirit situation.

and mark felt a pang in his head that made him stop laughing. "is this kid really calling his fucking angel—"

suddenly, a bright light appeared and a smiling angel could be seen after the light faded. the mysterious angel walked towards the baby and kissed his forehead to calm him down.

he whispered something into donghyuck's ear that caused the boy to slowly fall asleep. and so, he carried him and placed him gently on the bed, tucking him in.

and mark could only watch the scenario unfold in front of him. what was this creature doing to his little donghyuck? it even seemed like the angel didn't saw him standing near the bed.

his brows furrowed in confusion and somehow in anger. "okay what the hell was that?" he said breaking the silence between them.

the angel stood up and turned to face mark. just that, he widened his eyes in shock. you gotta be fucking kidding me. he thought as he saw the oh so familiar face of the angel he always had to deal with.

lee jeno.

"oh marcus! it's been a long time, aye?" the guy shot him a smile that never fails to annoy the heck out of the devil. but he got more annoyed with what he called him.

he groaned. "how many times do i have to remind you that it's mark! m-a-r-k! stupid creature."

jeno chuckled at that and shook his head. "you never change, marco" he said teasingly but raised both his arms up in defeat as he saw the demon's knuckles turning white, about to punch him.

"you know.. fate seems to like playing with us." he sat on the child's bed, looking at him in admiration as he caressed his hair, cute snores can be heard coming from the smoll one.

mark sighed and looked away, remembering what happened before. "that's bullshit. what happened in the past, won't happen again this time. the child's yours, i don't care."

was the last thing he said before disappearing into thin air, going back to the underworld leaving jeno alone.

"oh mark lee. we both know he reminds you of him."
