I peeked out of my window to see if Terrance's car was outside. I looked at myself in the mirror and starting shaking my hands. I was so nervous and the butterflies were flying in my stomach.

I put on some lipgloss and as soon as I put it away he called. I shakily answered looking out the window at his car.
"I'm outside, ma" He said then hung up. I rolled my eyes at the phone. I went through my bathroom into London's room and she was up painting as usual. I never understood what she was painting. It is always something abstract.
"London can you open the back door when I come back?" I ask her quietly and she sighs putting her paintbrush down. She turns and looks at my dress and her eyes widen. I do a spin and she shakes her head in disapproval.
"Where are you going dressed like that?" She asked and I rolled my eyes at her.
"To a little get together. I won't be long just an hour or so." I say jittering because Terrance was waiting on me.
"Fine, an hour but a minute later and you're on your own." She groaned pointing her finger at me. I smiled and kissed her cheek. She gave me a sad look.
"Kendra be safe, I wouldn't want anything to happen to you. You shouldn't be doing this." Her eyes showed worry but I couldn't let that stop me. I want to have fun once in my life.
"I'll be fine London. I'll be back on time. I promise, love you." I kiss her cheek again and leave the room. London was a goody two shoes so I wouldn't expect her to understand me. I disabled the alarm and tipped out of the door. I hurried to the his black truck and got in. It was so nice and it smelled like his cologne inside.
"Damn, you look good shorty." Terrance complimented me when I got in. I blushed as I put my seatbelt on. I looked at him and he was looking good with his fresh cut. His cologne made my mouth water.
"You look good too. You smell even better." I said quietly as he backed up and we pulled off to the party. I like being with him because of the street aspect. He was hood and that was what attracted me to him. I had flirted with him since ninth grade. Then once he asked me to help him with his homework and we been talking since then. Terrance wasn't very book smart but he was street smart. He had money and everyone wanted to be him. So I was very lucky to be able to hang out with him. And I honestly want to get to know him.
We pulled up to this house that was full of people. He parked by the mailbox and turned the car off. I put my hand on the door and he smacked it down playfully. He got out and walked over to my side and opened the door for me.
"Who's house is this?" I asked looking up at the house full of people. I recognized some from school and some who already graduated.
"My homie's, come on don't be nervous. You gone enjoy yourself." He said grabbing my hand and we approached the house. All the dudes were greeting him and all the girls were staring me down like they were mad. I smiled feeling their jealousy. We walked in and we sat on the sofa. People were all around drinking and smoking weed.
