"I thought that you hated dwarfs?" She said amused and Aragorn turned to face me confused.

"Tauriel, That was ages ago"

"Even so..." she suddenly grabbed my hand.

"T-" I grabbed onto Aragorn's hand trying to slow down her fast pace. She started laughing hysterically before grabbing onto the drunken Gimli's hand before we bumped into someone making us all clutter to the floor. Everyone was staring at us confused.

"Let's celebrate Legolas!" She screamed and started randomly dancing with Gimli. I turned around and grinned at Aragorn childishly, grabbing onto his hand we began to dance. I have never before felt this happy.

The rest of the night contained much laughter, dancing, drinking, catching up with each other's lives and getting to know more people. When it was the middle of the night me and Aragorn fell asleep on my bed each other's arms, exhausted.

Aragorn's PoV:

I had a bad feeling about Tauriel. She was a nice person and all but the way she looked at Legolas was similar to the way I looked at him. It sent shivers up my spine. They were only friends and I should accept that but the way she told Legolas that she loved another person made me raise my eyebrows.

I looked at the sleeping Legolas cradled in my arms and smiled, running my hands through his golden hair. The peace was disturbed by a soft knock at the door and I got up to answer it, careful not to wake up Legolas already knowing that he wouldn't (he was a deep sleeper whenever he actually slept). I crept towards the door and opened it so that I was able to see the person behind the door.

Tauriel stood there with a smile that never seemed to leave her face still present "Is Legolas awake? I have been waiting for hours...you see I don't like to sleep and I want to see him" She said in a slightly demanding tone, I raised my eyebrows. She must know how worn out he must be?

"He is still asleep, I think all of the celebrating wore him out" I whispered hoping that she would go so I could get back into bed with Legolas cradled comfortably in my arms.

"Oh that's a shame, I was hoping to get some breakfast with him" Her smile slightly dropped hearing that he wasn't awake.

"Yeah...sorry" I said trying to close the door but her face brightened and she held the door with her hand.

"Maybe we can go together then?" She pleaded.

"I would but I should stay here with Legolas so that I will be there when he wakes up"

"I'm sure that he won't mind, King Aragorn, we haven't got the chance to talk together privately" She implied. the way she said 'privately' gave me the impression that she had something planned for me.

"Fair enough, I will leave a note out for him for when he wakes" I said hesitantly. I guess we could get to know each other more. I wrote a note to Legolas saying 'Tauriel and I are in the eating hall, meet us in there when you wake up, Aragorn'  I placed the note next to him and kissed his forehead.
