While Lynda was a more than decent cook, it was Robert who had prepared the dinner. Lynda had been working for a few years as a costume designer for the BBC, a job that Micky had helped her get an interview for, while Robert stayed at home with the two kids and embraced the life of full-time fatherhood. For several years, Micky had been creating, producing and directing shows for the BBC, and was now known in the profession as Michael Dolenz, a break from his former Monkees rock and roller persona. He also had produced and directed plays and music videos, and had become thoroughly ensconced in the British entertainment industry from the other side of the camera.
